iWatch Concept Features 2.5-Inch Curved Display [Images]

Posted January 25, 2013 at 2:34am by iClarified
Designer Pavel Simeonov has posted his vision for an Apple iWatch. The smart watch features a full multi-touch 2.5-inch 16:9 curved IPS display.

iWatch constantly checks and learns about your environment. You don't even have to ask - just twist your arm to check for weather, your location, places nearby or even your medical condition - pulse and body temperature.

With 4G LTE wireless connectivity and built-in camera, mic and speaker, you can Facetime your friends and family on the move, anytime, anywhere. With Siri's help, one tap away.

The concept uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to other devices. Each piece of the armband is a separate battery cell. Other features include an accelerometer, gyroscope, pedometer, body sensor, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, wireless charging, camera, microphone and speaker.

Take a look below...

more bended required, dont understand me the tie is at the height way, not the width way, so it bad, in te of design, but good in term of technology, and please do not criticise me i am only 10

Looks like a miniature iPhone. Far too bulky in design. Nice renderings but the width really is far too wide too. Not ergonomic to the human wrist.

What was that space stuff u was talking bout

Quantum technology? It's the next computing generation (current is transistor). Just for example: With this, a file can observe several "states" at the same time: Two files may have the same name in the same folder. They could be in "read only" or not, or both states at the same time. bits will be replaced by qubits (Quantum bits) but that's just low-level crap. As you may know, data is stored in binary form meaning that what makes something look blue on your screen is merely 0 green 0 red 1 blue. A single qubit can represent a 1, a 0, or any quantum superposition of the said two states. The real aim here is that Quantum computers will able to process information way faster. It's still in infancy and government will first enjoy the benefit of it. Another bad point is the physical design of it as in theory, it'll take lots of space but instead of providing each individual with a quantum device, what not provide everyone with an access (QuInternet) to quantum based servers online ? That's what's been in my head for long time now and i'm just 24 At least, that'll make a good sci-fi book... I think i'll copyright that

kevinmaccloud - January 25, 2013 at 8:27am
Other simple exemple: With the current binary system: if you flip a coin, it's either tails, either head. With Quantum, it can be tails or head or BOTH! this is to mean that in the way a computer solves a problem, it can "suppose" its answer to be false. A transistor based computer will calculate an answer and then test it with other calculations if it's exact or not. So from that on, imagine the Articifial intelligence progress! as in the field of hospitals or teaching... or science: all the paradoxes and impossibilities: it'll still be impossible to divide by 0 but it'll give new angle at it..

Me too I would so buy one. I have a iPhone 5 so when they do come out wit it I wander if its optimized for the iPhone or just iphone 5 in general u kno what I mean. Just trying to make ppl by the latest iphone just so the watch works with it perfectly but idk

Also look at the designs of the Samsung curved smartphone it's just barely curved on one side that would be even harded to do then the iwatch concept.

It just ses like ur Afraid of change. Or the development of new devices. Idk which one. I'm guessing if u can't touch it you believe it ain't real. Look at the iPhones for example they came out n was way ahead of their time n now with the iPhone 5 it's just ridiculously advanced. Don't get me wrong Samsung is making great things to. But where did that get the idea from apple.

wrong guess. I love technology, i received newsletters every single morning at breakfast in my inbox, i start my day with that. I'll try to illustrate my point: Let's say this product comes out as it is on the paper. imagine the size of even half the iphone on your wrist. That's one thing. Then curving the product will imply a very specific architecture on the inside, architecture of which the nano simcard rack will waste already 7% 10%, as for the battery (since the wristband is not likely to happen), motherboard and so on. due to each and every morphology, correct angle from the camera can't be guarantee, battery cell in the wristband would expose the battery. Okay what I am saying here: is 2 things: to produce such a thing will cost millions in R&D in order to produce something for which the market isn't ready. You can ask: when is a market ready? well for the iphone, there were different models browsing capable, music player capable and so on. At the CORE-level of design, Apple: "the most convenient browsing capable device" providing a design called monolith: once touchscreen only. You could do as much as you did before but in a very much better way: user-experience. My point is: people experience browsing before but never in that manner: the market was ready. Regarding smartwatches: what have people experience before? what can be assessed and then improved? R&D challenges, marketing challenges, that's a lot to take and without steve..

I've known this person for 15 yrs and I trust what they tell me. Like said before its not leaking if its already on the Internet.
Ecko
Ecko - January 25, 2013 at 7:32am
Regardless if you don't buy it or not its true and I'm not leaking nething it's already on iC. I keep the upmost secrecy when consolidating with him. N ur so wrong bout just all but one the magnetic charging field thing that was just a boast. But the rest is real. Don't believe me just wait n see then u can eat ur own words on that buddy
kevinmaccloud
kevinmaccloud - January 25, 2013 at 7:43am
i hope it's coming just the way I see it here on iC. just not that particular shape. plus, the designer forgot the jack for earphones.... if there's a seem card in there, then you end up having a conversation in the middle of the street... That's why marketing and design are deeply tightened together. Not just design (this concept), not just marketing (samsung adding any features they can like there's no tomorrow)

They "planned" a late 2013 release. But apples so wishie washie with their release I would hold me to that.

Samsung came out with the curve glass this January. It is unlikely for Apple be able to release a product featuring that during this year, too short period of time. 1 It's Samsung, their partnership is going down 2 to create a similar tech will definitely take more than a year. To that technology is attached many caracteristics such as battery consumption: 1 a different conception of screen influence the battery design as well. 2 Quality (giving up on retina or not). 3 minimum size/degree of curve: is there really a point of curving such a small glass surface? it's gonna generate high costs without the guarantee of clear view all over the surface. Plus, providing an iPhone-like glass will just create the same sunlight issues. The market, with Pebble and other watches are starting to be saturated with "assistant watches", not Smart Watches. indeed: those watches assist you and your phone, they don't produce texts (except for one), emails, list for grocery shopping and so on. What will make the difference is Siri. There you could enjoy plenty of phone-related features and even new features we don't know about that a watch could do.

That's the whole reason I was so argumentative about the subject.
Ecko
Ecko - January 25, 2013 at 7:11am
Ok I'll agree your seem more intelligent then me on that subject. I'm sry for my last post it was immature but from what I've read and from my very good friend that works for apple on one of their dev teams told me n showed me these pics before they even hit iC that the concepts of this watch is not just a concept nemore it's all ready in the proto stage running on 6.1.
kevinmaccloud
kevinmaccloud - January 25, 2013 at 7:21am
I would put my hand in fire that the watch that is coming isn't capable of: magnetic field battery charging, sim card features, iPhone shape feature, camera feature, wifi, no curved screen, speaker, battery cell in the shape of peaces of armband... you'd know about it because patents would have surely be showned all over the web. especially for a curved glass watch or the wristband. I too believe apple is soon arriving on that market but definitely not with this design
kevinmaccloud
kevinmaccloud - January 25, 2013 at 7:23am
And i don't buy the "good friend" story. He wouldn't break the secrecy to you so you could spread it all over the web. Or if so, you'd think twice before talking about him and compromising his job

Ecko - January 25, 2013 at 6:29am
Now ur talking about stuff that won't ever happen in our lifetime. Your trying to make a argument on something that will never exist, and it's just making you look stupid. The concept is there, the possibilities are very much real. Think out side the box. It's not that hard.
