Frank Chimero has written an interesting and humorous article about how seemingly nobody noticed a REAL horse in the Apple Store.
I think, “Would they notice if it were a tiger?” Or a lamb? Or an anaconda? What would it take to shake the haze from around their eyes? A sale sign? A new iPod Touch? Would they notice a new iPod Touch?
Are they just divinely focused? Are they meditating in a retail environment? Are they distracted by something shiny? There is so much shiny in the Apple Store. Is it enough to distract everyone from the little tiny horse that is at the Genius Bar?

I recognize that lady from when she visited Kennedy Space Center. The horse has actually been trained to guide her; much like a seeing dog. I can't remember the exact reason why she needs the horse but if I remember correctly it's because the horse helps with her emotional state. So they have to admit the horse anywhere she goes to meet ADA compliance. My collegues said that she was really nice and even wrote the Center Director a letter for how nice the staff was during her visit.
