นี่คือขั้นตอนการติดตั้ง Windows 8 Consumer Preview บน Mac ของคุณด้วยการใช้ Boot Camp.

ก่อนที่คุณจะเริ่ม คุณต้องมี Windows 8 Consumer Preview ISO และ Product Key. สำหรับผู้ที่มี DVD burner จะต้อง burnISO นี้ไปบนแผ่น DVD ก่อนที่จะทำต่อไป สำหรับผู้ที่ไม่มี DVD drive จะต้องใช้แฟลชไดรว์ขนาด 8GB แทน

ขั้นที่ 1
เปิดหน้าต่าง Finder ขึ้นมาใหม่โดยคลิกที่ไอคอน Finder ที่อยู่บน dock

ขั้นที่ 2
ไปที่โฟลเดอร์ Applications : Utilities และดับเบิ้ลคลิกที่ไอคอน Boot Camp Assistant เพื่อเปิดแอพพลิเคชั่น

ขั้นที่ 3
Boot Camp Assistant จะถูกเปิดขึ้นมา คลิกที่ปุ่ม Continue

ขั้นที่ 4
ทำเครื่องหมายหน้าช่องทั้งสามและคลิก Continue.

ขั้นที่ 5
คลิกที่ปุ่ม Choose เลือก ISO ที่คุณเพิ่งดาวน์โหลดมาและคลิก Open

ตรวจสอบให้แน่ใจว่าแฟลชไดรว์ที่คุณต้องการใช้ถูกตั้งเป็น destination disk จากนั้นคลิกที่ Continue

ขั้นที่ 6
คุณจะได้รับคำเตือนว่าข้อมูลในแฟลชไดรว์นั้นจะหายไป คลิก Continue

ขั้นที่ 7
Boot Camp Assistant จะคัดลอกไฟล์ของ Windows ไปที่แฟลชไดรว์

ขั้นที่ 8
กรอก User และ Password ลงไปและคลิก OK

ขั้นที่ 9
หากคุณมีฮาร์ไดรว์มากกว่าหนึ่งอัน คุณจะต้องเลือกว่าจะใช้พาร์ติชั่นใดให้ Windows จากนั้นคลิก Continue

ขั้นที่ 10
คุณจะต้องสร้างพาร์ติชั่นให้ Windows ลากตัวแบ่งเพื่อปรับขนาดพาร์ติชั่น

เมื่อปรับเรียบร้อยให้คลิกที่ Install

ขั้นที่ 11
Boot Camp Assistant จะเริ่มการพาร์ติชั่น

ขั้นที่ 12
เมื่อการพาร์ติชั่นเสร็จสิ้น ระบบจะรีสตาร์ทตัวเองแล้วเริ่มการติดตั้ง Windows จากแฟลชไดรว์

ขั้นที่ 13
ทำตามขั้นตอนการติดตั้ง

เลือก Custom (advanced)

เมื่อถูกถามว่า "Where do you want to install Windows?" ให้เลือกพาร์ติชั่นชื่อ BOOTCAMP จากนั้นคลิก Drive Options และต่อที่ Format คลิก OK เพื่อยืนยันและคลิก Next เพื่อทำต่อไป

ขั้นที่ 14
เมื่อการติดตั้งเสร็จเรียบร้อย คลิกที่กรอบ Windows Explorer

ขั้นที่ 15
เลือก WININSTALL แฟลชไดรว์จากรายการใต้ Computer และดับเบิ้ลคลิกที่โฟลเดอร์ WindowsSupport เพื่อเปิดมัน

ขั้นที่ 16
ดับเบิ้ลคลิก setup

ขั้นที่ 17
Boot Camp Installer จะปรากฏขึ้นเพื่อติดตั้ง Boot Camp คลิกที่ Next เพื่อเริ่มต้น

ขั้นที่ 18
อ่าน license agreement ให้ดี (คุณคงไม่อ่านหรอก.. ใช่มะ) เลือก I accept the terms in the license agreement จากนั้นคลิก Next

ขั้นที่ 19
ทำเครื่องหมายที่ Apple Software Update for Windows จากนั้นคลิก Install

ขั้นที่ 20
Boot Camp จะเริ่มการติดตั้ง drivers ที่จะเป็นสำหรับ Mac เพื่อการทำงานกับ Windows

เมื่อการติดตั้งเรียบร้อยคลิกที่ Finish

คลิก Yes เพื่อรีสตาร์ทเครื่อง

ขั้นที่ 21
เมื่อเครื่องรีสตาร์ทเรียบร้อย ก็เป็นอันเสร็จพิธีติดตั้ง Windows 8 บน Mac ด้วย Boot Camp :D

i have a problem...i choose the partition i want to make.and i put the windows 8 x64 installation disc and press install.after that there is a message saying "the installer disc could not be found"...what can i do to solve the problem...??

i get an error We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files after i format the partition and click next to install windows

Step Four You will now be asked to select from a series of tasks. Leave all 3 tasks selected and click Continue. I CANNOT SELECT 1ST BOX -> INSTALL WINDOWS 7 , WHY?

i don't have the "create" option at all. all i have is "download latest..." and "install win 7"

It's funny how OSX users are always bashing Windows OSs as if they have something to prove or need to justify using a less popular OS. If you're secure in your use of OSX, why waste the time complaining about another OS? Clearly a lot of people enjoy using Windows OS. Seems a little silly to me. Just because you don't like Windows doesn't make it inferior, your preferences just happen to be different.

I followed all these steps and installed windows 8 since launch but as well as many others we are experiencing freezes related somehow to heating. Something is wrong and many users are experiencing it.

Question is: How the heck Windows 8 works, can't figure out why Windows is worst in any update they make. I did installed it in my mac, but I would never buy it, is too complicated and NON user. I will stick to my Mac os friendly

Windows installed on a PC is much better than any boot camp. I've tried windows on my Mac. And I've tried mackintosh on my PC. what ever OS it came with...keep it at that. windows on a PC is very snappy. Mac OS on a Mac is also snappy but when you add in another OS. It's kind of laggy

In the step that shows three tasks selected, the top one is greyed out for me :/
