Aqui estão as instruções de como colocar seu iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch em modo DFU com o botão Home ou Power quebrado.

Passo Um
Crie uma nova pasta na sua Área de Trabalho chamada Pwnage.

Nesta Pasta coloque a firmware mais recente (que pode ser baixada a partir daqui:
iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) e a última versão do RedSn0w (a partir daqui).

Extraia (Descompacte) o arquivo RedSn0w zip na pasta Pwnage.

Como entrar em modo DFU com o botão Home ou Power quebrado (Windows)

Passo Dois
Execute o aplicativo redsn0w.exe da pasta "redsn0w_" que foi extraido anteriormente. Você deve fazer isso clicando com o botão direito sobre o executável e selecionando Executar como Administrador (Run as Administrator) no menu de contexto.

Passo Três
Uma vez que o RedSn0w está aberto, clique no botão Extras.

Passo Quatro
Escolha Even More no menu de Extras.

Passo Cinco
Selecione DFU IPSW no menu mais adiante.

Passo Seis
Você será instruido a selecionar um IPSW no qual será utilizado na restauração do modo DFU, gerando uma ipsw hackeada e salva na pasta Pwnage. Clique OK.

Passo Sete
Selecione o arquivo ipsw firmware que você baixou no Passo Um e clique Open.

Passo Oito
RedSn0w vai proceder agora na criação do IPSW no modo DFU .

Passo Nove
Você será notificado que uma IPSW foi criada com Sucesso (IPSW Created). Clique no botão OK.

Passo Dez
Execute o iTunes.

Passo Onze
Conecte seu dispositivo no computado e selecione-o na lista de dispositivos à esquerda. Se você não fez um Backup recentemente, realize um agora. Próximo, tenha certeza de que você está na aba Summary então segure o botão Shift e clique em Restore.

Passo Doze
Selecione ENTER_DFU ipsw da pasta Pwnage na sua área de trabalho e clique no botão Open.

Passo Treze
Depois que seu dispositivo for restaurado ele entrará no modo DFU. A Tela permanecerá preta e estará apto a realizar o jailbreak dependendo logicamente do firmware que você utilizou na restauração.

It didn't work because my Itunes doesn't regonize my iphone, it's like there isn't no phone... :(

In step 10 when you connect the device to the ps having launched iTunes you cannot select it as it needs you to respond on the ipod to allow access and you cannot as the ipod touch is disabled so you have no access to the screen prompt so how do I get around this.

HELP Me: I have iphone 4s 7.1.2 Jailbreak (Power button broken) Now I want to update it to 8.0 or 8.1 but not 9.X.X (phone will be too slow) So as My power button is broken I can't enter DFU mode. I have following quesitons: 1. Which firmware i should download to make dfu ipsw? Is it 7.1.2 or 8.0/(8.1) 2. I tried the normal regular method of updating through itunes and getting error 3194! So if I use this dfu method will be able to bypass? 3. Lets assume my iphone is updated to 8.1 will be jailbroken or i have to jailbreak it later ?

1. You can not update to iOS 8 from general>software update if iOS 9 has already available. So it's better to use ipsw from firmware ios 8.x.x 2. DFU mode is the deepest type of restore you can do on an iphone. So if the regular recovery mode doesn't solve the problem, DFU mode may do the trick 3. When you restore iphone using DFU mode, you will lose the jailbreak. So, you need to rejailbreak it

Hi. I found out from the lot of articles that to restore to old version compare to current so in this case iOS 8.x.x is not possible anymore ! Because Apple has to sign the ipsw then only itune can restore to that iOS. And apple stop signing the oldest version. So I can't update or downgrade to 8.x.x iOS anymore. Or update from 7.1.2 to 8.x.x ! Only I can update to direct latest available is 9.3.5 iOS.

I have tried basically everything to try to fix this and I cant do it my iphone 4s has connect to ITunes on the lock screen forgot password locked it up cant get redsnow to just accept the firmware however it refuses if I leave it zipped it doesn't show up if I extract it it shows up but makes me navigate through the folder and ends up blank

i did every step of it and i did the jailbreak again using redsn0w and the firmware iOS 6.0.1 and well my ipod wont turn on its stuck on dfu mode what do i do help me lol

No, but in order to use most jailbreaks, you need to be in DFU mode. redsn0w is a good example of this.

so I replaced the screen on my daughters, friend's ipod touch 4g that has a broken power button, and I ma getting the all white screen. (white screen of death) so I cant do a reset or put in dfu mode for recovery. whenever I connect it to itunes it asks me for the passcode, but I cant enter it because it's nothing but a white screen. any suggestions on how to get this ipod to reboot without using the power button or the slider on the screen? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm at my wits end as to what to do. I can't even troubleshoot whats going on because I cant get this ipod to power off. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can still connect the ipod touch to the computer and it recognises it, download tinyumbrella. Run it, and there should be an option to enter recovery mode. Once you're in recovery mode itunes will let you restore the ipod and you should be out of the white screen. :) source: it happened to me and this is how i fixed it.
