Estas são instruções de como realizar um jailbreak untethered de seu iPad 2 running iOS 5.0.1 usando Absinthe para Mac.

Cuidado ***. Antes de continuar, tenha certeza de ter feito o backup de seu dispositivo no iTunes você pode perder seu rolo de câmera (fotos salvas) durante este processo.

Passo Um
Faça o download da última versão do Absinthe no site here.

Passo Dois
Dê um duplo clique para extrair o arquivo baixado e execute o aplicativo Absinthe.

Passo Três
Como solicitado, conecte seu iPad 2 no computador via USB. Tenha certeza de ter removido qualquer senha ou configurações de VPN que você tenha pré-configurado.

Passo Quatro
Click no botão Jailbreak para começar

Quinto Passo
A aplicação irá mostrar vários passos do jailbreak: : Sending initial data, waiting for reboot, waiting for device to finish booting, Preparing jailbreak data, e Sending payload data.

Passo Seis
Voce será informado que o jailbreak está 'Almost done', (quase terminado).

Passo Sete
No seu dispositivo, localize e execute o ícone do Absinthe, para completar o jailbreak. Ele pode estar em qualquer tela homescreen.

Se o servidor falhar e você receber a mensagem de erro Error establishing a database connection selecione o ícone Ajustes de sua teça e habilite a opçao VPN VPN.

Será mostrado um erro de configuração, no entanto, depois de um tempo seu dispositivo irá reiniciar com o Cydia na tela!

Hi, it seems to me it does not work AFTER the iOS 5.1 release:-(. I am not able to restore iPad 2 running on 5.0.1. with iTunes and that is (probably) why the Absinthe does not finish (VPN does not start even after manual switch from Settings). any ideas? THX Tom

I was able to get the Absinthe icon installed until toggling the VPN but does not reboot after a minute so no Cydia installed as of now. :(

Same happened to me, but a Home+Power reboot did the trick. Dunno if will help.

Jailbreak works on my iPad 2, but the problem is: I cannot open my contacts! Pushing the icon makes the application start for like tenth of a second, then it crashes. Restarting the device did not help. Any idea?

I have successfully Jailbreak. VmWare WKS + MacOSX SnowLeopard Absinthe 2 hours of unsuccessful tries ... because of Micosoft Exchange Policy which requires passcode... (has to be turned off to successfully jailbreak). today morning successfully jailbroken. Unfortunately I have my email icon white ...

I've tried Rinstalled BigBoss Icon Set from Cydia twice, and all icons are correct now. :-) DON't know if this solved the problem or not, but now it seems fine. ;-)

I can't get it to open either. It shows application unexpectedly quit. Its prob cause the data is so busy with other jail breakers. Anybody know why?

Im trying to JB iPhone 4s and iPad 2. for some reason the process on Mac is getting freezer and not finishing JB. Any thoughts?

press home button once in while. that did the trick for me. when it first got frozen around at 20% since ipad was at slide to unlock i did that and progress bar started moving and it went to restoring screen on ipad. and than it got stuck there too so i waited but then just pressed home button once and it rebooted and finished the whole jailbreak.

Restore you iPad1/Iphone4S after a clean restore don't initiate any set up and don't restore you iPad or iPhone after it's been completely done..Then try to jailbreak at this point...It worked perfectly for you...After you have jailbroken your devices then restore everything from iTunes Hope this helps

yep the servers are crazy.... I have dying for 20 minutes and I can... mannnn, this is crazy, the worlds is doing JB, COOL
