Marche a suivre pour jailbreaker votre iPod Touch (1G or 2G) avec OS 3.0 firmware en utilisant RedSn0w for Windows. La version pour Mac est ici here

Première étape
Créer un dossier sur le bureau et nommer le Pwnage Pwnage

Télécharger RedSn0w ici here et placer le dans le dossier Pwnage. En meme temps, télécharger le firmware 3.0 ci-dessous et placer le dans le meme dossier.

NOTE*: Le firmware 3.0 pour iPod touch doit etre acheté à partir d'iTunes. iTunes le sauvegardera ici:
- C:Documents and Settings USER NAME Application DataApple ComputeriTunesiPod Software UpdatesiPod2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw
- C:Documents and Settings USER NAME Application DataApple ComputeriTunesiPod Software UpdatesiPod1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw

Extraire RedSn0w zip vers le dossier Pwnage.

Deuxième étape
Connecter votre Ipod Touch à votre ordinateur et lancer iTunes.

Selectionner votre Ipod Touch à partir de la liste sur la gauche. Ensuite appuyer sur la touche shift de votre clavier tout en cliquant sur restaure . La restauration permet de ne pas perdre de l'espace de stockage.

Naviguer jusqu'au dossier Pwnage et selectionner le firmware ipsw. Cliquer ouvrir pour continuer.

Troisième étape
Une fois qu'itunes a mis a jour votre Ipod touch au firmware 3.0 vous pouvez lancer redsnw0w.exe à partir du dossier Pwnage sur le bureau.

Quatrième étape
Une fois RedSn0w ouvert appuyer sur browse

Cinquieme étape
Selectionner le firmware ipsw précédemment placé dans le dossier Pwnage et cliquer sur i]Open

Sixième étape
Une fois que le firmware a été verifié cliquer sur Next pour continuer.

Septième étape
Vérifier que Cydia soit selectionné et cliquer sur Next.

Huitième étape Eight
Brancher votre iPod Touch à votre ordinateur en position OFF et cliquer sur Next

Neuvième étape
RedSn0w va vous guider vers différentes étapes jusqu'au mode DFU.

Presser simultanement les boutons Home et Power pendant 10 secondes.

Relacher le bouton Power et garder le bouton Home enfoncé jusqu'a la detection de votre iPod Touch par RedSn0w.

Dixième étape
Votre iPod Touch va redemarrer

Onzième étapen
RedSn0w va ensuite télécharger la nouvelle RAMDisk.

Douzième étape
Une fois le téléchargement fini, RedSn0w vous avertira. Cliquer sur le bouton Finish.

Apres un délai pouvant aller jusqu'a 5 minutes Votre iPod Touch va redemarrer. Il sera jailbreaké avec Cydia sur le SpringBoard.

i think you didnt restore 3.0 on itunes thats why redsnow does not accept your firmware to jailbreak

Can anyone give me a hand? I don't understand why iPod1,1_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw doesn't get recognized by redsn0w I followed all the instructions and still doesn't work please let me know if anyone else has this problem.

Can I use redsn0w it with 3.1.3? I've already read a previous post with 3.1 problems and it seams that it's not possible. Can anyone be more accurate (like "no, it's not possible" or "Yes, it's possible"... :))) ) Thanks AJ

I tried 3.1 Since it is available, but no luck with redsn0w... iTunes restored properly from iPod1,1_3.1.1_7C145_Restore.ipsw, but then redsn0w says only "unable to recognize specified IPSW"... :( So i go for 3.0 now...

im having a problem with cydia. it will not load anymore. hit the icon and it acts like its gonna load but throws you right back to the spring board. anyone know why? it started doing that after i downloaded an app called "mewseek" so i was thinking can i just "re-jailbreak" with out reloading the 3.0 firmware. just reuse the redsnow program to rewrite the files or am i really gonna mess up the 2g itouch????????

No point jailbreaking now if you haven't already, 3.1 firmware comes out in 3 days

Do NOT buy the firmware! Go here: http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ choose 3.0 version i pod touch firmware.

Thank you for this tutorial, it works, very easy to jailbreak, just follow the steps, and no you dont have to buy the firmware in itunes, i got it from somewhere else and it still worked

Excellent I followed the instruction and it works in 2 to 3 minutes but make sure not to disconnect ur ipod till u see the "slide to unlock" screen. ALso Redsn0w 0.8 has ICY AND CYDIA redsn0w and iClarified rocks. THE best AND MOST simple tutrial for the iPodtouch 2g 3.0 JailBreak

You have to upgrade the firmware to 3.0 first before doing any jailbreak. It works smoothly now.

i've got an ipod 2g with os 3.0 and jailbreaking with redsn0w 0.8 DIDN'T WORK! i used redn0w 0.7.2 instead and it worked perfectly the first time. fyi for any mac users out there!
