Estas son las instrucciones de como engañar tu iPhone para que piense que está en una red Wi-Fi y habilite el servicio VOIP en redes 3G y otros beneficios.

En la versión actual de VoIPover3G by crash-x viene con soporte para Fring, Truphone, App Store, y iTunes Store.

Necesitaras tener tu iPhone jailbroken para que este tutorial funcione. Puedes encontrar las instrucciones de cómo hacerlo aqui.

Paso Uno
Presiona Cydia desde tu iPhone.

Como Engañar Tu iPhone para que Piense que esta en Wi-Fi

Paso Dos
Presiona Sections de las pestañas de la parte baja de la pantalla.

Paso Tres
Presiona System en la lista de selecciones.

Paso Cuatro
Presione VoIPover3G en la lista de paquetes.

Paso Cinco
Presione el botón Install en la esquina derecha superior de la pantalla.

Paso Seis
Presione el botón Confirm en la esquina superior derecha.

Paso Siete
Una vez que la instalación haya terminado exitosamente presione el botón grande Return to Cydia.

Paso Ocho
Ahora ya puedes utilizar App Store, Fring, Truphone, y el iTunes Store mientras utilizes redes 3G. El teléfono funcionara como si estuviera en una red Wi-Fi.

NOTES:
También podemos configurar manualmente una aplicación específica para correr en el modo simulado Wi-Fi. Para hacer esto debemos ingresar el iPhone via SSH y adicionar el identificador bundle de la aplicación deseada en “/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/VoIPover3G.plist”.

Puedes encontrar información de como accede via SSH a tu iPhone aqui.

Necesitaras localizar VoIPover3G.plist y transferirla a tu computador.

Luego lo abres utilizando Property List Editor, agrega el identificador a la lista, y transfiere el archivo modificado VoIPover3G.plist de vuelta a tu iPhone.

Does not work for appstore or youtube anymore as of 2/17/2010. Could only get skype to work. I have my config like this Filter = {Bundles = ("com.Fringland.Fring", "com.skype.skype", "com.apple.AppStore", "com.apple.MobileStore", "com.audiofile.Interstate", "com.apple.youtube");};

Can i just clarify something...if i set this up does this mean that i can essentially get free internet on the listed apps above ie appstore, itunes etc. I am currently on a plan that charges me 99c a day to use 3g but if i use this above method will this mean that i get away with it for free, as the phone thinks it is on wi fi as opposed to 3g??

No u cant get internet for free. In Brazil we can conect all day for just 25 cents! :)

will this work with skype? i had fring and it works beautifully, but skype i'm having problem going online using 3G connnection.

I tried to add com.skype.skype to the plist and it didn't seem to work.

Have the same not-working over 3G problem as lots of people complainting about here. But work like a charm after install the winterboard. mine is the 3G 2.2 brand new JB & yellowsn0w iphone. like to share with you guys to make full usage of this woderful piece. also thanks iclarified for the excellent instruction!!

Anyone having problems with Fring, unistall Voipover3g, go to Fring, make a call and after reinstall Voipover3g that should get it to work. did for me

I got itunes to work with "Voipover3g" edit your VoipOver3g.plist, located in /library/mobilesubstrate/dynamiclibrays/ And copy the format of the "com's" Add In "com.apple.mobileipod" Works Like a charm, Glad i jailbroke this fine piece of technology

Seems that you need to have WinterBoard installed to make this stuff work.

Thanks for your help it was greatly appreciated. I would like to say if you want to add PennyTel to the list just add "com.pennytel.iphoneos.PennyTelMobile" This will allow you to VoIP over 3G works great!....I am running 2.1 firmware on my Iphone and now i can VoIP where ever i want to with kick ass cheap call rates :)

Hi I have pennytel on my iphone 3g and have installed voip3g program but pennytel doesn't work it says you are not connected to wifi. How do I add "com.pennytel.iphoneos.PennyTelMobile" someone please help. Thanks

please explain why I would want to enable VoIP on 3G? this seems duplicitous... pay for VoIP, then pay to use it on a cell network? Even at simple data plan rates, I don't see the payoff aside from the act of being able to do it. anyone explain this to me? f

iClarified please remove this tutorial as it is useless because it does NOT work. I appreciate all the time and effort you put in to make these tutorials but the developer of this tweak needs to test this out only thing that I was able to do was to make calls via fring/skype but that's about it. appstore/itunes do NOT work.
