Thanks for the unbiased iClarification. So in the History Revised by the iSheeps, Apple invented cellphones with an integrated camera, and they also invented digital photography/videography altogether, why not? Of course they did that without relying at all on the true innovations brought by the electronic component manufacturers, which components Apple of course do not use in their devices. Cough, cough...
I'd also bet that 70 to 85% of the devices on this picture are not Apple...
Apple was once great but have changed the world for the worst circa 2012-2013. So much of the litigation and lawsuits by Apple have been for the purpose of closing the marketplace to non-Apple products and non-Apple designs. The public in the US and at large worldwide have been harmed. "So imagine a world in which Apple had always made cars, microwaves, televisions, appliances, aircraft etc. Well you get the idea, it would be a dark world, and a cruel marketplace with panoptic global control by Apple alone. Only crippled limited inferior non-Apple consumer products would be allowed to exist. Competitors to Apple would face massive litigation and lawsuits from the Apple corporate executives and armies of Apple lawyers. A truly sad world for sure if Apple ran it." R.I.P. Apple.
Apple is (was) innovative and deserves to protect their efforts. Copy cats don't have to put the time and money into extensive R&D. However competition is healthy and good for everyone, eventually. Protection of ideas, like Patents, force others to likewise innovate and come up with new and fresh ideas, much better than just copies. Don't forget that although Apple is king in the US, the rest of the world is less biassed and others will and do get their fair share of the market. Apple don't have it all their way in the world at large. That said, I've been a committed Apple supporter since I first met SJ in 1978 and stuck with them all the way. Just hope sincerely that it will continue to lead the way.
I want to once again love everything that Apple once was, but cannot. Admiration belongs to the talented wonderful people who work for Apple that design, create and build the great products, these people are the real heroes. Not Tim Crook!
As a photographer it is clear to me that the focus in the original photo 2005 was achieved by using f stop of approximately F16-F22 with a professional camera. In the case of the 2013 the focus was purposely put on the iPad in the foreground. This is the entire point of taking the photo. Probably at f-stop of about f5.6. In any case, neither of these 2005 or 2013 was photographed with an iPhone or iPad or iPod Touch. Just because there are iPhones and iPads in the photo does not mean that is was necessarily taken with one of those devices. Also, "better focus" is subjective. It depends on what the photographer is attempting to achieve.
Technically correct, however the '13 pic is disturbing to look at. The iPad Commercial could have been achieved with far a more pleasing impact on the eyes, which should be the objective, as it now detracts.
As I said ""better focus" is subjective." as well as your commentary ("pleasing on the eyes"). In contrast, my comments were based in simple observation rather than contextual subjective value judgements.
You're not reading between the lines...
It's true that not everything in the photo is apple. But the point of the author was, how apple has changed the mobile market landscape. The first photo was 2005, when the iPhone didn't exist. The first iPhone was announced year 2007. Then shortly after in just a little as 1 year, similar offering from other companies became available to the public.
It's not that hard to figure out. It's just a matter of recognition, kind sir.
how can you credited Apple for technology technology changes in the world? Look at cell phone in the early 90's to the late 90's. you are going from a HUGE brick to credit card size. This advance in technology is due to one company. I don't understand why people keep on crediting Apple for everything. Yes they made good products like any other manufactures but it is their marketing depart is what really put Apple on the map. My iphone became defected just like any other phone i had after two years of use. Where is the quality?
I also don't understand all the people that put other manufactures down when Apple used parts from Samsung, LG and sharp. It is ironic that you called their products inferior but yet you are using their parts on your units.
Its not all apple device. Behind this article author is trying to say is. Apple iPhone changed smartphone market. and pushed other to produce cheep and better smartphone that all conman people can buy.
Apple maybe expensive but they push other company like Samsung or Motorola to make better and cheaper smart phone faster.
Nobody is stating that all devices shown in the 2013 photos are Apple devices, but it was the original iPhone that came out in 2007 that changed the world and lead to the current world of Smartphones
