Verizon Working With Google on Tablet to Rival the iPad

Verizon Wireless is working with Google on a tablet computer to rival the iPad, according to the WSJ.

"What do we think the next big wave of opportunities are?" Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam said in an interview with the journal. "We're working on tablets together, for example. We're looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience."

McAdam declined to discuss details on the timing or the manufacturer of a such a tablet.


A Google spokesman declined to comment on the Verizon tablet but noted that anyone can use their software to create devices.
