X, formerly Twitter, has announced Passkey support on iOS for users in the United States.
-----
Today we're excited to launch Passkeys as a login option for our US-based users on iOS!
A passkey is a new, easy to use, and secure way to log in to your account - all from your device. Passkeys are more secure than traditional passwords since they're individually generated by your device for each account. Learn more at https://help.twitter.com/en/managing-your-account/how-to-use-passkey.
Let us know what you think!
-----
A passkey is a way to sign in to an app or website account, without needing to create and remember a password. Instead of a password, a passkey uses Touch ID or Face ID to identify you. Apple supports passkeys on iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and macOS 13, or higher.
You can download X from the App Store for free.
