Leaked renders have allegedly revealed the design of Apple's rumored new 12.9-inch iPad Air.
The renders were shared in a post by 91mobiles who obtained them from 'industry sources". They corroborate rumors that Apple will begin production of the 12.9-inch iPad Air in the first quarter of 2024. Notably, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says display panels for the tablet have already begun shipping.
It appears that the larger iPad Air will largely keep the same design as the current model, but with some changes to the rear camera module.
Observations
● The iPad Air 12.9-inch model will feature the Touch ID button on top just like the previous model. ● The speaker grilles are located on the top and bottom as well.
● The side switch is also visible on this iPad Air model, and the USB-C port is at the bottom as well.
● There is a slight design change in the rear camera of the iPad Air as we can now see a border around the lens and LED flash. If we compare it to the current iPad Air model, it's a naked camera sensor at the back.
The 12.9-inch iPad Air is expected to launch this quarter and will likely feature an M2 processor. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for further updates.
