Shipments of Display Panels for New 12.9-inch iPad Air Have Begun [Report]

Shipments of display panels for the rumored new 12.9-inch iPad Air have begun, according to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC).

Also today, Mark Gurman reiterated his previous report that Apple plans to introduce new iPad Air models and iPad Pro models around March.

Gurman predicts 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Air models, alongside 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models.

So the iPad Air will clearly be lower-end than the Pro, but it also will be a notable improvement over the standard iPad. It will have two screen sizes and an M2 processor, making it superior to the 10th generation model — a product that isn't due to get upgraded until much later.

Differentiating the new iPad Pros from the new iPad Airs will be the slightly larger screen size, an OLED display, and the M3 processor.
