Check out this updated iPhone display design roadmap that reveals when Apple is expected to introduce under panel Face ID and eventually an all-screen iPhone Pro. The roadmap was shared today by Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants.
According to Young, the first notable change will be in 2025 when the standard model iPhones get LTPO panels. This will purportedly coincide with an upgrade to under panel Face ID for Pro models. Previously, Young had predicted that under panel Face ID would arrive in 2024 with the iPhone 16.
The next change will allegedly be in 2027 when the standard model iPhones get under panel Face ID and the Pro models get an all-screen design with under panel Face ID and under panel camera.
