Apple to Unveil HomePod With 7-inch Display Next Year [Kuo]

Apple is planning to launch a HomePod with a 7-inch display in 2024, according to a new report from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. It's believed that Tianma will provide the display panel for device.
I predict that Apple will unveil a redesigned HomePod featuring a 7-inch panel in 1H24, with Tianma as the exclusive panel supplier. The HomePod, which equips a panel, could enable tighter integration with Apple's other hardware products, marking a significant shift in the company's smart home strategy.
Kuo says that Tianma has long-term prospects in Apple's supply chain. Similar to BOE, it could start with making low-end products and gradually obtain orders for higher-end products.
Tianma's next orders from Apple may be iPad panels if the shipment goes well. Tianma's Android smartphone panel production capacity is full currently, and its capacity utilization rate surpasses its competitors. If this trend continues until 2H23, its revenue and profit in 2023 could exceed market expectations.
Apple has lagged behind competitors in the smart home market, but with the move to Matter, the relaunch of HomePod, and a smart display on the horizon, the company could finally be making an effort to deliver.
