A benchmark for the upcoming Apple 'M2 Max' processor has allegedly been leaked on Geekbench.
Spotted by @VNchocoTaco, the benchmark for a Mac14,6 with a 12-core CPU and 96GB of RAM was performed on November 29, 2022. The device is likely a new Mac Studio or an upgraded MacBook Pro, as currently the notebook supports a max of 64GB of RAM.
The processor scores 1853 in Geekbench 5's single-core test and 13855 in the multi-core test. Compare this to the M1 Max in the MacStudio at 1755 and 12333. Notably, we've also spotted a second Geekbench result for the M2 Max that scores 1889 and 14586.
Originally, the M2 Max was expected to debut this fall in new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models; however, Cook revealed that Apple's holiday lineup was set during the company's last earnings call. They are now expected to launch early next year with a new Mac Studio to follow.
Notably, the Mac in the benchmark is running macOS Ventura 13.2, a build which has yet to be released to developers.
