HBO Working on Fix for 'Can't Play Title' Error on Apple TV 4K

HBO is working on a fix for the 'can't play title' error some users are experiencing on the Apple TV 4K, reports The Verge. The issue appears to affect all Apple TV 4K models running HBO Max app version 52.50.1 on tvOS 16.1.
HBO’s SVP of Communications Chris Willard tells The Verge they’re “aware and working on a fix.” The company’s specialized support team followed up with my own ticket to say the development team is actively investigating the issue and recommends looking for upcoming updates to help resolve this.
If you're experiencing this issue, some have been able to fix the problem by force quitting, logging out, reinstalling, or rebooting. If those tips don't work, you can temporarily turn off HDR. This can be done by navigating to Settings > Video and Audio. Then change Format to SDR, set Match Content to Disable, turn off Match Dynamic Range, and turn off Match Frame Rate.
Hopefully, a fix is released soon. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for updates.
