Apple to Launch New M2 iPad Pro Models Tomorrow [Gurman]

Apple is planning to launch new M2 iPad Pro models tomorrow without holding an event, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

In a tweet today, Gurman said, "In case it wasn’t obvious with the “days away” wording from Saturday, the launch should be tomorrow."

The new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros are codenamed J617 and J620. With the M2 chip, performance will purportedly improve by around 20%. The design is expected to stay the same which is why an Apple has decided not to hold an event to unveil the new models.


In addition, the new iPadOS 16.1 software update will likely arrive the week of October 24, bringing the new Stage Manager feature which enables overlapping, resizable windows.
