Apple Watch 'Pro' Will Have 'Fresh Design' But Not Flat Sides [Gurman]

The rumored Apple Watch 'Pro' will feature a new design with a larger screen but will not have flat sides, according to a new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
As previously predicted, the upcoming Apple Watch Pro could offer a larger and more shatter-resistant display, enhanced tracking for hiking and swimming, longer battery life, and a rugged and premium metal case (likely titanium). It's also said to feature a temperature sensor.
Despite past rumors that Apple was planning to release an Apple Watch with flat edges, Gurman says that will not be the case.
I’m told that the high-end model is going to be a good bit bigger than the standard Apple Watch—big enough that it might only appeal to a subset of customers. The screen will be about 7% larger, and the device will have a fresh look—the first time the company has introduced a new Apple Watch design since 2018. It will be an evolution of the current rectangular shape, and not circular. It also won’t have those rumored flat sides (for those who will undoubtedly ask). In terms of materials, the watch will have a more durable formulation of titanium to make it extra rugged.
Apple is expected to unveil the new Apple Watch Series 8 alongside the new iPhone 14 this fall. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for updates.
