These are instructions on how to forget a Wi-Fi network on your Mac.
You may need to do this if your Mac computer keeps connecting to a wireless network you don't want it to. Your Apple device remembers each Wi-Fi network you join, and when in range, will automatically connect to that network again. If you don't want to rejoin that network, or if you want to join using a different password, follow the instructions below...
Select System Preferences from the Apple menu bar at the top left of your screen.
Choose Network from System Preferences to open network preferences.
Select Wi-Fi from the list of interfaces on the left side of the Network preferences page, then click the Advanced button.
Choose Wi-Fi from the list of tabs.
Here you will see your saved Wi-Fi networks. To prevent automatically connecting to one of your saved networks, select it from the list of preferred networks, then uncheck Auto-Join
To completely forget a Wi-Fi network, select the network, then click the minus button. You can select multiple networks at the same time.
If prompted to confirm, click Remove.
You can also uncheck Remember networks this computer has joined to prevent your Mac from remembering wireless networks you join in the future.
When finished, click OK.
Click the Apply button at the bottom right of the Network settings window to finalize your changes.
