After having his titanium case mod called fake, romazzino has posted a video proving it exists and is real.
Unhappy with the plastic cover of his iPhone 3GS, romazzino had his original cover measured digitally then used CAD to design a titanium back cover using a special titanium alloy that is RF transparent.
Pictures of the case spread online this morning online were called fake by blogs and their commenters.
In order to prove himself, romazzino shared the video below with Engadget.
Still fake!!!! It's a HiPhone a copy of an iPhone, The Real Chinese HiPhone. the button to change ring/Vib slides from left/right and on the iPhone slides up/down
Nice work Martin. I have a friend who uses SolidWorks for his industrial design applications and has prototype created all the time. Easy when you know how.
Wutz up with the Magician like palming around the time he goes to dial? Only adding to the willingness of people to say "FAKE!" Prototype or not, still a hincky video...
It appears real -- and I want one!! :) But why hide the dialed number? Call a friend, information, the time of day, a pre-recorded anything. Hiding the dialed number does raise suspection.
Calling a friend won't make his phone ring Sherlock.
How you can still call that fake is beyond my understanding. As was said - with the proper equipment this is very doable. How do you guys think the monoblock MacBook Pro are made? With magic?
Awesome work, I want one :)
Not Fake at all - all totally possible with CAD software and a milling machine. Well done, it looks great. Start taking orders and selling this shit........
they are saying its fake because it wouldnt be able to make a call through the titanium.... they arent saying that its fake in the fact that its not actually titanium
