PDF Checkpoint 1.2 Released

Zevrix Solutions has announced the release of PDF Checkpoint 1.2, a feature update to its PDF preflight and conversion machine. Remarkably fast, PDF Checkpoint preflights, exports as images, splits and reduces size of multiple PDF files, and allows to route files according to preflight results. PDF Checkpoint is for users who need a fast, affordable and easy to use workflow solution in situations where expensive hi-end tools would be an overkill.

PDF Checkpoint is designed to help graphic designers, ad agencies, prepress houses and printers, and includes the following major solutions and benefits:

* Batch-process PDF files with a simple drag-and-drop
* Quickly preflight PDF for common problems using preflight profiles
* View all PDF fonts, colors, images and metadata at a glance
* Route files into success/error folders according to preflight results
* Split files into single page PDFs

For example, users can convert a folder of PDF files to CMYK TIFF images with LZW compression at resolution 300 dpi while scaling each page by 50%. Or to reduce PDF file size by downsampling images to 72 dpi.

The new version lets users preserve transparency when exporting PDF to TIFF and PNG images. PDF Checkpoint is a new addition to the Zevrix family of quality control products, which already includes InPreflight for Adobe InDesign, and Graphic Inspector for raster and vector graphic files.
