Pre-order Demand for iPhone XR Higher Than iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus [Report]

Pre-order demand for the iPhone XR has exceeded that of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus after the first weekend of orders, according to TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Demand for the iPhone XR immediately after launch has been lower than that of the iPhone XS; however, its momentum is viewed as 'more stable' and Kuo believes it will drive more customers to upgrade than the iPhone 8.

It's also noted that availability via Apple.com isn't an exact indicator for demand as many customers will upgrade to the iPhone XR via carrier promotions.
