6.1-inch LCD iPhone to Feature 'Full Active' Display, Ship in November [Report]

Apple's rumored 6.1-inch LCD iPhone may not ship until November, according to a new report from Macotakara.

The site also claims that Apple will use a touch sensor system from Japan Display.

The next iPhone 6.1 LCD model adopts the "FULL ACTIVE" display which has a four-sided narrow frame, and the 3rd generation "Japan Pixel Eyes" touch sensor system of Japan Display. However, very high precision production is required. When mass production started in July, we are faced with a difficult situation of 1% complete rate, and the parties concerned expected that it would be shipped by November 2018 at the earliest.

A similar report from Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty predicted that the 6.1-inch iPhone would be delayed until October.

Apple purportedly expects the LCD model to make up a majority of iPhone sales in its new lineup. Thus, a late release could be costly. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
