this thing is F**K uped man dun try it i got the loop problem after trying it too. can iclarified come up with a solution or simply remove this from this website?
I posted the thread below this one. If you get the loop that I described, download ziphone and in the "advanced features" settings, select and run "DFU Mode". Then you have to open itunes and restore to a previous firmware version. I selected the factory restore (1.1.3). The first time itunes tried to restore, it got to the very end and said it was unable to complete the update. I immediately ran the update over a second time and the second time worked like a charm. Once I was rolled back, I just ran ziphone's unlock feature and I'm back in. My sync still doesn't work, but hey, at least i have a working phone.
This Bricked my phone. It's stick in the "Edit Home Screen" Loop. I've tried everything. Restoring the phone, runningZiPhone, nothing will restore my phone. iTunes gives me an error that the phone can't be restored, and ZiPhone says that the process was successful, but it really wasnt'. When the phone reboots, it goes back to the "edit home screen" loop. Can someone please help? My unlocked phone was working perfectly before this, now I have no phone.
this bricked my phone and i had to do a full restore. i'm still working through issues now. i kept getting a message about "edit home screen" and i couldn't do anything with my phone. nothing. couldn't reboot, shut down. nothing.
i've restored my phone now, but i still can't sync my calendar. :(
If Installer.app is crashing right when you are about to install an application, it means your root partition is full. I really hope that you installed OpenSSH before that, otherwise you are going to need to restore and jailbreak again (I'd use the ZiPhone method instead of Soft Updating to 1.1.3, then unlock with anySIM).
After you have jailbroken but BEFORE unlocking, install BossTools and check to see how much free space you have on your root partition. I had 2MB, which definitely isn't enough for a lot of apps. Unfortunately, Installer.app doesn't tell you how much space you have left (a HUGE oversight in my opinion), but you'll need to move either Fonts (86MB), Ringtones, or Applications to your media partition to gain more space. This is a permanent thing, but shouldn't mess anything up as it just creates a symlink. My phone is running fine.
Hopefully this will solve your problem. Ask that Installer.app tell you how much space you have left on your root partition. This would make troubleshooting this problem a lot easier
I also have the same problem.
It start installing the file, Installer ends, back to normal springboard and nothing happens.
Still cannot sync to iTunes.
I've started the process since the beginning (update to 1.1.3 from Itunes, downgrade to 1.1.1, upgrade to 1.1.2 and 1.1.3) and I have the same sync problems. Now when I install Syncfix I receive an Error message which say: Main script execution failed! Any suggestions please! Thank you.
When I install SyncFix app with Installer v 3.0, the Iphone download it very fast, install the application even faster and quit Installer. The app is not install. Does anybody knwos what I am doing wrong? Thank you.
I'll take a look at that problem shortly! Note that SyncFix is just a script that the Dev Team created. It can't technically be uninstalled. The uninstall feature is just supposed to delete the script file off your iPhone.
How can i unsintall this? Installer crashes when i try to uninstall SyncFix. I was on the impression i can trust iClarified. I want it uninstalled but it can't be removed.
i had 1.1.2 jailbroken and upgraded with installer, then tried to "fix sync problems", I followed all the steps. and then after i restarted the phone... it got blocked, like at the begining (usb cable image and emergency call) what can i do???
this works for me, just had to set itunes to overwrite the iphone the first time. But i cannot uninstall the script ???... My installer crash ( latest version )
After installing this package, I accidentally thumbled over the ok button and installer booted the system. now I'm stuck in an infinite loop on springboard. Any way to reset the phone? Computer doesn't respond to it in any way.
hi, guys~
my otb1.1.2 iPhone continuing encounter the contact_not_sync issue when upgraded to 1.1.3. And I try do soft link manually following some shell script found on hackintosh named fix_sync_nofearl.sh, and it did not work for me. And iclarified.com seems to be blocked entirely by something so-called theGreatWall national firewall system in our mainland China.
when I surfing the web using notebook, I could trick by apps like tor or whatever, yet there is no other way for me to bypass the damned thing using iPhone when I refreshing and download apps from "i.clarified.com".....
so please help me figure out what the original script fix_sync on iClarified was using or maybe there were other alternative sources already on internet?
please help me, and many many thanks!!!
Although the installation hung on "downloading and jailbreaking" for an hour, after reboot 1.1.3 was up and running.
I didn't even need the fix for the iCal Sync, and i could still use my AnySim unlocked Swisscom-SIM
