iOS 10.3 Beta Hints That Apple May Soon Drop Legacy App Support

A change to the 32-bit app alert in iOS 10.3 beta hints that Apple may soon drop legacy app support.

The modified alert was first spotted by 9to5Mac. Previously, when opening a 32-bit app, users would be prompted with the following message:

"App Name" May Slow Down Your iPad
The developer of this app needs to update it to improve its compatibility. The developer of this app needs to update it to improve its compatibility.

In iOS 10.3 beta the alert has been changed to:

"App Name" Needs to Be Updated
This app will not work with future versions of iOS. The developer of this app needs to update it to improve its compatibility.

It would seem logical that Apple would introduce such a change with the launch of iOS 11. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
