iOS 10 Has Been Jailbroken! [Video]

Posted June 17, 2016 at 10:53am by iClarified
iH8sn0w, the iOS hacker who developed Sn0wbreeze and iFaith, has posted proof of the first successful iOS 10 jailbreak.

iH8sn0w first hinted that he had a jailbreak a few days ago, when he tweeted that Cydia does not crash on iOS 10. Today, he posted a video of an iPhone 5 running iOS 10 with an untethered jailbreak.

Since the video is of a 32-bit device and verbose mode is teased, we are assuming his jailbreak relies on his older iBoot exploit, which allows devices to be jailbroken for life. Nevertheless, it could help accelerate development of a jailbreak that works across all devices, including 64-bit ones such as the iPhone 6s. There is no word on whether iH8sn0w plans to release this jailbreak, or use it for research purposes.

As iOS 10 approaches this fall, many are still desperate for an iOS 9 jailbreak. The last jailbreaking tool released was Pangu9 for iOS 9.1.

Earlier this week, Luca Todesco dropped a 0day exploit for iOS 9.3.3 beta and lower -- about 25% of what's needed for a jailbreak. However, it will take more exploits and code to create a working jailbreak.

Remember when the jailbreak community had integrity and didn't give a f*** about money? Now money is thrown at these people to shut down public exploits.

The only thing that could be dreadfully boring us you already assuming something that has more yet to come. Same old gimmick used before and yet don't bother texting it all out not putting real effort to even compare them, so how do you expect us to trust you if you have no clue? You're the divorce anyone ever needs which is true friendship power!

JAILBRAKER ARE STOLEN MONEY FROM DEVELOPERS!!!

Siggi - June 19, 2016 at 6:33am
The purpose of jailbreak is to be able to do whatever you want on your device. I buy all my apps from the App Store, there's not a single stolen app on my iPhone. And for me, AppSync is useful for installing an app I developed in Xcode without having to buy a developer membership, which I then release on Cydia once it's complete. I don't use it for piracy.

This is just like the videos of someone putting a bullet through their iPhone. Sure, you can destroy your iPhone. But why? It would be cheaper to buy an Android. Either way, you end up with a piece of sh!t, but at least it won't cost as much.

gamerscul9870 - June 18, 2016 at 3:26am
I get what you're saying, but it's more like ending up with a mangled phone that was once functional. I wouldn't say it's a piece of shit because it's describing it like that on its own. If anything is shit it's either those who blow their money on these by destroying it something else that is probably more expensive or them in general if they have nothing better to do for a living.

Enable airplane mode, then turn wifi back on still shows the symbol of airplane mode and wifi, wow that was so hard to type, I almost had to insult someone instead of giving a simple answer

I do not consider it jailbroken unless it's available to the public.

Got tired of jailbreaking since iOS 5. I hate the way your data is completely wiped out every jailbreak version. The UI tweaks make your phone slower. Security is compromised. And besides how can you cheat the developers from cracking their apps which they created just to get free from paying .99c?! Come on guys! These people are working to earn money by creating apps. I only jailbroke my iPhone 3G before because there is no phone to tv mirroring at that time and the UI was shitty and I like to customize my home screen. But I got tired of it and got used to the present UI which is way better than Android. And we got airplay now. The developers are generous enough to open a small window for their apps to be free for limited time and to own them. I still don't get it why Jailbreak? Most of the changes we wished before are now here in the latest iOS. So why bother to Jailbreak anyway...

You have no idea at all! JB can actualy make your phone faster by instaling NoSlowAnimation tweak. Please, just avoid writing any other stupid stuff. You dont know...
Mang Domeng
Mang Domeng - June 18, 2016 at 4:33pm
Yeah maybe that tweak went fine for you. But what about the updating? You have to backup everything, do the fresh install, jailbreak, bring back whatevever you backed up, you have to even redo the setup on your settings and enjoy. That's how you Jailbreak right? But with original iOS update, restart and enjoy. All your data and settings are still intact. That's the reason I got tired of Jailbreaking my phone. The process is too cumbersome you have to do it in every update. In a Jailbroken phone you always get the previous iOS but not the latest because the Jailbreaking team need to Jailbreak it before they release the latest which another latest iOs is again released and their Jailbreak now is behind the latest iOS. And I don't agree with using Jailbreak to get cracked apps. Man, apps are cheap now unlike in the old times that programs in your PC or smart phone cost $20-$100 or more. Would you steal for the poor developers who make great apps at .99c? You have a job right? You earn your money why not give back what the developers what they deserve if you enjoyed their app?

Its funny. With other iOS Jailbreaks, there hasn't been a time that I can remember where "jailbreak achieved, but no tool yet" articles keep poppin' up left, right, and center.

That's right. This should stop being a "news" anymore. Or they do publish JB or they don't but reading about their success means absolutely nothing. So, portals should stop publishing things like this.

Here we go again, LOL. Nothing will be released, complete fail for this smart phone line of products known as iphone. Great chance for other companies to make customizable phones.

gamerscul9870 - June 17, 2016 at 1:57pm
Companies wouldn't have moved on without iPhone, but to flat out call the iPhone what you wish it was out of the blue? Please, We all know how sales grow year after year if not inspire companies to sometimes copy what Apple does and so far it's no exception. Customize a phone all you want. You can pretty much do it to any phone nowadays whether companies offer it or not, but that option is nothing.
