These are instructions on how to jailbreak the iPhone 6s Plus, 6s, 6 Plus, 6, 5s, 5c, 5, 4s on iOS 9.0 - 9.0.2 using Pangu9 for Mac...
If you aren't already at iOS 9.0.2 we suggest upgrading to the firmware using iTunes. You can find download links for iOS 9.0.2 here. Please note that you must update using iTunes rather than Software Update. If you used Software Update you should do a backup then restore to iOS 9.0.2 using iTunes.
Step One Download the latest version of Pangu for Mac. Double click to mount the dmg file, then drag the application icon into your Applications folder.
Step Two Tap Settings from your Springboard then select Touch ID & Passcode. Turn Passcode Off if it is enabled.
Step Three Press the Settings button at the top left to return to the Settings menu. Choose iCloud from the Settings menu then select Find My iPhone from the iCloud menu. Ensure the Find My iPhone switch is the Off position.
Step Four Return to the Settings menu by tapping the iCloud then Settings buttons at the top left of the screen. Then enable Airplane Mode by tapping the Airplane Mode switch.
Step Five Connect your iPhone to the computer via a USB cable, launch iTunes, and perform a manual backup. It is very important that you remember to backup your device before continuing as you could lose your data if the jailbreak process does not complete successfully.
Step Six Double click the Pangu app icon to launch the application. Note: You may need to control+click the icon and select Open if it won't launch with a double click.
Step Seven You will notice the device is detected by the software.Click the large Start Jailbreak button to begin your jailbreak.
Step Eight You will be prompted to confirm that you've backed up your device and that it's in Airplane Mode, click the Already Backup button (the one on the right) to continue.
Step Nine The Pangu app will now begin the jailbreak process.
Your device will reboot and at the 65% mark, you will be asked to renable Airplane Mode.
At the 75% mark, launch the Pangu app from the SpringBoard then tap Accept. When prompted tap OK to allow Pangu access to your photos.
Step Ten Once the jailbreak has completed successfully, your iPhone will reboot and a Cydia app will appear on your SpringBoard. *A big thanks to the Pangu team and all the others who contributed to this jailbreak.

Jailbreaking since iPhone 3g -1st Fail :( - November 20, 2015 at 2:33am
It's not working on my iPhone 6S 9.0 - at 10% (not the instructed 65%) point it asks to unlock & do airplane mode again, then it freezes at 30% "Configuring the environment". I have find my iPhone OFF, passcode off, auto lock off.
Tried 3 times. 1st just my reg iPhone, 2nd & 3rd attempt I deleted all data/settings & did it on a clean phone. No matter what stuck?
I'm getting a not qualified for 6P message when doing the manual update fro 8.4 to 9.0.2 in iTunes. I presume that maybe apples isn't approving this version install any more. I guess I'm late.
You restore from the backup you made. If the phone is seriously borked, you may have to do a full restore from the system file. Do you need help with this?
Anyone getting " Device is 7.1.2 only works on 9.0 - 9.0.2" ? Did iTunes restore to 9.0.2, rebooted, restarted my Mac, restored as new iPhone. All still with same result
My iTunes and computer are up to date but for some reason it wont let me update to iOS 9 or 9.0.2 when i try to restore using that IPSW. i keep getting an error on iTunes, help anyone?
It's very important to turn Airplane mode OFF once you've jailbroken, and before you try to open Cydia. Cydia needs a connection to the Internet to rebuild your filesystem, and it can't do this in Airplane mode.
If you try it in Airplane mode I'm not sure what happens - I *think* you may have screwed your chances of using it, but I'm not at all sure. Try it and see.
