These are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini Retina, and iPad mini on iOS 8.1.3 to iOS 8.4 using TaiG for Windows.
If you aren't already at iOS 8.4 we suggest upgrading to the latest firmware using iTunes. You can find download links for iOS 8.4 here. We've also posted instructions on how to update the firmware of your iOS device. Please note that you must update using iTunes rather than Software Update. If you used Software Update you should do a backup then restore to iOS 8.4 using iTunes.
Step One Create an iClarified folder on your desktop and download the latest version of TaiG into the folder. If your download is a zip file then extract the archive into the same folder.
Step Two Tap Settings from your Springboard then select Touch ID & Passcode. Turn Passcode Off if it is enabled.
Step Three Choose iCloud from the Settings menu then select Find My iPad from the iCloud menu. Ensure the Find My iPad switch is the Off position.
Step Four Connect your iPad to the computer via a USB cable, launch iTunes, and perform a manual backup. It is very important that you remember to backup your device before continuing as you could lose your data if the jailbreak process does not complete successfully.
Step Five Double click the TaiGJBreak executable from the iClarified folder on your desktop to launch the application.
Step Six You will notice the device is detected by the software. Uncheck the bottom checkbox to prevent the TaiG App Store from being installed then click the large Green button to begin your jailbreak.
Step Seven The TaiG app will now begin the jailbreak process.
Step Eight Once the jailbreak has completed successfully, you will be shown a green smilie face, your iPad will reboot and a Cydia app will appear on your Springboard. Congratulations, you're now jailbroken!
*A big thanks to the TaiG team and all the others who contributed to this jailbreak.

ok, i have the same issue with the appel driver hasn´t been found. Please fix this so a normal installation is possible, or at least mention it here before everyone upgrades only to find out it doesn´t work.
used jailbreaks before and had no problem but
im struggling with no apple driver please install itunes which ive done repeatedly got on airplane mode and latest taig jailbreak and nothing
Hi everyone. Especially to developers of JB app.
I use Mini Ipad and I have upgraded into 8.4 IOS.
I am trying to continue with steps posted here above, but each time I tried to JB, the message of Apple driver was not found is getting me trouble what to do.
Does any body have any idea how to continue further?!
Note: just to make clear my questions, I have downloaded the latest version of I Tunes and still I am getting the same message.
So I'm jail broken on 8.1. I usually do a clean install of the newest firmware.. Restore from backup and then jailbreak. The directions here say I can update and re jailbreak...skipping the whole restoring from backup process. Question is., does that take extra space with the previous jailbreak and tweaks being inaccessible or are they simply overridden when I re jailbreak. If being overridden will Cydia recognize tweaks previously installed or would I have to reinstall them
This has got to be the cr@ppiest JB I have ever seen. It jail broke my iPhone, but wouldn't my iPad. I tried dozens of fixes, and each time it listed a randomly picked error code. When 8.4 came out, I tried again. Again, nothing. Figuring the iPad was a lost cause, I tried 8.4 on my phone. No go! Now I have 2 unjail broken devices. I almost suspect Apple paid off TaiG to curtail the number of jail broken phones. I will NEVER attempt another TaiG JB!
what is always not clear/missing in these tutorials:
the 2 possible sequences and related pros/cons:
backup, firmware update, restore backup, jailbreak
backup, firmware update, jailbreak, restore backup
Should have never upgraded. Jailbroke my 4s on ios 8.3 successfully but upgraded to ios 8.4 and now I am stuck in the 20% loop. I am using iTunes 12.0.1 on windows 8.1 64 bit. Is there a fix?
The reason I ask is because I'm on 8.3 and would like to stay but also would like to would also like to use the new jailbreak so pretty much do it all from the beginning Clean.
