Apple has just released the iOS 8.1.3 software update for download bringing bug fixes, increased stability, and performance improvements.
The update is available for all iOS 8 devices. We're updating our devices now to see what's new, but let us know if you spot anything!
The change log and direct download links can be found below...
What's New In This Version: This release includes bug fixes, increased stability and performance improvements, including: ● Reduces the amount of storage required to perform a software update ● Fixes an issue that prevented some users from entering their Apple ID password for Messages and FaceTime ● Addresses an issue that caused Spotlight to stop displaying app results ● Fixes an issue which prevented multitasking gestures from working on iPad ● Adds new configuration options for education standardized testing
It's clear that Apple is slowly starting to kill i5/5s as I noticed a lot of slowdowns/hangs/high battery drain occuring comparing to my other i5s that I sticked to 7.1.2(stable).... My gf's i6 do have glitches but at a lesser extent compared to my i5s with the latest iOS 8.x....
Rubbish...it drains battery on 5S... Plus it doesn't correct the disappeared messages in messages app...
It seems btw that they fix the spotlight problem though
iOS 8 was the most unstable of all the iOS versions.. No matter what updates you apple guys put into it.. Nothing was right.. Although iOS 8 has more to offer than iOS7 but the 7 is way better than 8 when it comes to stability of the software.. Just like in windows OS after Vista (that sucks alot) comes windows 7 and yes.. Its like XP but vista style.. Then comes windows 8? Everything got screwed up.. I tell you hopefully iOS 9 will offer not just more features but the stabilization as a whole.. Same in windows.. I hope windows 10 is way better than the screwed up 8.. Not a geek or an IT expert? But with concerns to my tech surroundings.. Wow..
It's still organized better and didn't even glitch out as much, but even how I see ios, it works perfect for me tbh. I didn't have a single problem. Microsoft didn't even try at all. Ios did what they could. I understand you though when most Apple products don't support some versions, but to me, I am doing perfect. I'm sure there is still hope for you on 8.2.x
Still same old S**T!...on iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6+ Safari and Wi-Fi lag/drop off still exist with this release. DAMN THIS iOS 8.X.X...lets move to iOS 9.X.X, obviously this current iOS is a fail...
this ios like other past releases works for me. It's not an all time low like the new windows ever was (even if you include 9) but maybe your devices are old because they don't support the newer ios any good. Any concerns about that! I use iPad Air and iPhone 5s and they run perfect. Same new update that continues to grow. Well move to ios 9 if it does what 8 did and so forth.
Yo...did you not read the part when I said I updated to iOS 8.1.3 on my NEWER iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 (two iPads and two iPhones) all with 128GB...and all exhibiting the same issues although the iPhones are not as temperamental as the iPads. When I had my iPhone 5S on iOS 8.X.X it was the same issues that is why I am cursing this iOS version...
It's the same as taig, just written for Mac, sorry I don't use Mac and didn't know what your talking about, PP sounded more like the pangu jailbreak than taig. Either way, it's patched so no jailbreak for 8.1.3
