TetherMe has been updated for iOS 8, which brings support for native tethering -- even if your carrier does not support personal hotspot. TetherMe for iOS 8 also brings the instant hotspot feature that was released with iOS 8.1 and OS X Yosemite.
iOS 8.0+ compatible version of TetherMe
Enables the native tethering functionality of your device and gives you the option to share data from a VPN or to share a WiFi connection to USB. This DOES enable the instant hotspot functionality introduced with handoff in iOS 8.1.
TetherMe also allows you to edit your APN settings. There is no App installed, settings are available under TetherMe in Settings.
This method should work on every carrier without any additional user interaction; however, if you decide to tether without your carrier's knowledge and they find out, we will not assume responsibility for any additional charges or fees incurred.
TetherMe for iOS 8 is a separate package, so users who purchased TetherMe for iOS 7 (and before), will pay a small upgrade fee; however, if you purchased the package in the last 18 months, it will be a free upgrade. TetherMe is available for $4.99 for new users, or $2.99 for those upgrading. The tweak is available in Cydia Store on the BigBoss repo.
This tweak drained them heck out of my battery life after installing. There something definitely wrong. It drains like by the minute. I uninstalled it and it's now back to normal. I hope they fix it soon.
So I've installed this already yesterday and it seemed like my data stopped working while the hotspot was turned on, well technically data was still working but videos weren't able to load, like it was back down to edge instead of LTE. Don't purchase this yet till it's been updated, or don't purchase it at all and get it from insanelyi
