300 Bent iPhone 6 Devices [Video]

Posted November 5, 2014 at 3:05am by iClarified
A new site called 'One of the Nine' is collecting photos of bent iPhone 6 devices in an attempt to demonstrate that there is a real issue with the device and to get Apple to take responsibility for the problem.

We are most definitely not anti-Apple though and I am a massive Apple product user myself and an iPhone 6 Plus owner (yes… it bent). We are raising awareness of the issue to get Apple to take responsibility for the problems. Currently they are rejecting most customers who complain about a bent phone and calling them liars when they state that it happened through carrying it normally in their pockets.

Our aim at the moment is to get a consistent reply from Apple on what customers should expect when they visit an Apple store with a bent iphone. At the moment it is completely arbitrary depending on the store and manager you get. Many have been replaced but more have been turned away or charged massive amounts for a replacement. If that is achieved then we’d like to see a real admission from Apple about whether the problem is a design flaw.

The site has also posted a video that shows 300 iPhones which have bent. Apple previously said that only 9 customers had complained about bending issues, although that was quite some time ago.

Currently, 332 customers have posted photos of their bent iPhone 6. You can check out the site or add your iPhone to the list at the link below...

Cool. So out of millions and millions of devices, less than 400 are bent (and can provide photographic proof). Awesome. Cool Story Bro. I bet more phones are dropped in the toilet every day because of how slippery the new design is. Where is slipperygate??? It's complete and total BS is what it is

I don't put a case on my iPhone because I like the way it looks and I don't like to cover it up. But if I drop it or scratch it, it's my bad and not Apple's fault. To me the point is to be careful with it, not to argue that it's sold "incomplete" if someone doesn't buy a case for it. I've sat on keys and they bent, I didn't sue the factory or post a video on YouTube... I just got a new key.

Most people have more money to buy an iPhone 6 plus than common sense.

If I sit on my iPhone and it bends, my first thought would not be "f'ing Apple and their cheap products!!!". My first thought would be "oh crap, I sat on my iPhone, what an idiot!!!". Does no-one else understand personal responsibility and reasonable expectations of delicate technology?!?

Good news !!!!! Today apple announced and requested users that iOS 8.1.1 will fix the iPhone bend issue. So there is nothing to panic, according to apple, the real reason behind bending is a software bug. Once they fix it would inject some kind of liquid in to iPhone 6 hardware which would help the phone to be straight. Fingers crossed for the update.

Woah Its Not tht Easy To fool Ppl Cus How can Software cause A Hardware Issue To be fixed For All oF those Who Believe this U just got Tricked

iBend Always - November 5, 2014 at 11:41am
Forgot to add, its an invisible liquid which will be produced by communication between certain hardware in the phone as soon as the software update happened. The new software update would simulate these hardware and act differently than normal and the issue get solved. Hope it helps

More news flash! Today's android released the 5th version to make the bend much more achievable than iPhones when it released. Good luck catching up again. In this case to android, the malware must have a new virus that inspired Samsung to make phones to look like they are bent. Once the update comes there will be another same model that's optional like the iPhone but straight.

To John, obviously "NO", it doesn't help to solve already bent phones but there are unconfirmed news that small bents may get resolved by software update. So people who has small bents should remain calm and wait for the update and don't try to complain or get support from apple. This is one of the reason apple is not supporting bend issues recently. They urge users to wait for the update.

Fail design is a fail design IMO including the material its used. The iphone 6/6plus can acutally bend overttime due to heat it generates when charging/running intensive apps which makes the thin aluminum metal or whatever it is to be come malleable and slowly bends IMO. Also not all users tend to baby their phones/gadgets unless its hard built especially those outgoing types eg. those who travels a lot, are sports enthusiasts or play sports themselves, hikes a lot, etc. so they have higher risk of bending their phones IMO.

Fail in making sense and fail in proving it! The heat problems mean people don't be more aware of dangers around the phone like themselves.

Why only in one direction? Why not the opposite side that is the front side it is not bending? I feel these all done purposefully by themselves......

Wait, samsung has all that and still loses to iphone 6 and 6 plus in terms of sales, profits and popularity? Why?!

Because I work for my money and this is a free and democratic country where people have a choice. I can spend my money how I want and where I want. I can choose whichever phone I want. If I don't like a phone I can simply not but it or even follow any news about it. Oh by the way, SO CAN YOU.

Apple is making 86% of world wide mobile phone profits. Hardly dying. Can't say the same for Samsung, in particular their S5 and Note 4 sales have missed the mark completely.

Apple is dying? In your dreams dude. Samsung probably came out with like 20 phones this year and their profits are down by over 70% not Apple's...

If you have Dynasty Ming vase, will you disply it openly where the kids play or put it in safely in a display case to protect it from accidents?
