The PanguTeam has released an updated version of its untether for the iOS 8.0 - 8.1 jailbreak, fixing an issue which could cause your device to overheat due to excessive CPU usage.
This is the untethered exploit installed by the Pangu 8.0-8.1 jailbreak tool. If you jailbroke your device with Pangu 8.0-8.1, this untether has already been automatically installed for you.
What's New: Version 0.3 of this package fixes the issue where, on 32-bit devices (iPod 5, iPhone 4S/5, iPad 2/3/4, iPad Mini 1) a specific background process (launchd) would sometimes "spin", burning CPU and battery, or even heating up.
Important: Note: before installing updates to this package (which will require a reboot), if, after the first time you ran Cydia on this device, you used the iTunes "restore from backup" feature (or otherwise used iTunes or iCloud to put old data back on you device), please now reinstall Cydia Installer (by going to that package and tapping Modify, Reinstall, and Confirm) to make sure your device can safely reboot with a passcode enabled.
You can update your Pangu Untether from Cydia. If you haven't jailbroken already, you can be instruction on how to jailbreak your specific device via the iClarified Jailbreak Wizard.
I need a jailbreak now cuz my damn girl updated my iPhone 5S to iOS 8.1 (by accident she claims). by accident my ass!! Now without Cydia I can't get back the "bigU Movies" app I installed from xsellize repo or insanelyi repo to watch new movies like John Wick, Fury, Dracula Untold, The Equalizer, Annabelle and No Good Deed. I really hope I can jailbreak soon cuz my nights & weekends won't be the same when I can't watch movies.
Took my iPhone 6 to apple and they give me a brand new one they said it was the graphics processor keeping away from JB don't want another fried iPhone using alternative called ipawind still get my moviebox musicbox cartoon hd etc and app cake and Cydia apps with no need for jailbreak
I'm on iPhone 6, do a clean restore of iOS 8.1 latest, then do not restore backup yet, jailbreak first.
get the latest Pangu8 1.1.0 and follow instructions, turn off find my iPhone, passcode/touch id, enable airplane mode. then do jailbreak and follow instructions. it should work perfect. I had same problems initially when I restored my backup before jailbreak, which meant it did not work. I'd also install latest iTunes. get the Appsync 8.1 beta from cydia.

I jailbroke my iPhone 6 previous version , worked for a day then my screen went blue shut down went into boot loop , tried a restore got red screen then iTunes error 4013
What's a "jailbreak"? Is that like some of utility to be able to use the phone, which you paid good money for, in the manner that you intended in the first place?
On 4S initially it works, after using few minutes and opening few apps the phone crashes and stuck at boot logo. Restored 3 times, same issue, better to stay away for few days.
The only Kinks I'm seeing in this Jailbreak is people don't know what they are doing and too much of a novice to know the difference. I Jailbreak my IPad and IPhone with a glitch. Pretty smooth actually. As most of the IOS Tweaks are not supported, you literally have to read and test them out yourself. My XBMC (Kodi), AppCake, Theme are working just fine. Trust me when I tell you that, "It's mostly user error"
I installed the first Appcake with no issues but the links were horrid...I uninstalled and realized I kept the AppSync previously installed for this applications. I installed AppCake 2 and since I had the AppSync already installed, I works just fine.
