The Pangu app that is installed after jailbreaking iOS 8.0 - iOS 8.1 has been updated with the ability to install Cydia for those who already jailbroke using using version 1.0.x of the application.
If u already jailbreak by Pangu 1.0, u could install Cydia 1.1.14 via Pangu APP. It shall work well on iOS 8.1. Appreciate @saurik hard work
Pangu has also announced that an updated utility with Cydia bundled will be available in 24 hours.
Also we plan to release Pangu 1.1 in 24 hours with Cydia bundled and english support if everything goes well today. Pls be patient, tks!
We will be posting tutorials as soon as the jailbreak utility is released.
Hm so I could jailbreak and they wound know.... Ok but are you sure because I really don't want to lose this warranty its apples longest one and cost a lot!
Don't worry. In case you have a problem under warranty, just restore. Apple techs will never know, and also they will not care. They just give you a new/refurbished one.
Do not worry about warranties. As long as you reinstall/recover iOS before handing out to Apple, they'll have no track of jailbreak usage on your iPhone. And Jailbreak is a software-sided effects which does not break your device or anything. So if anything goes wrong with your iPhone, all you gotta do is reinstall iOS and you have fresh new iPhone.
You don't! There was no way to SOFTWARE bricks your iPhone! The wrong firmware will simply do not pass the Apple verification during update/restore process. iPhone is fool-proof device!
Indeed the jailbreak apps can semi-brick the iPhone. But since its software-sided, you can always put your iPhone into DFU(recovery) mode and fresh install iOS.
I wasnt gonna jailbreak this time around with my iPhone 6 Plus since iOS 8 has almost every tweaks i needed from Cydia. But the fact that more and more Apps on AppStore milking out people with in-app charges, they are forcing me to use iappfree. i sually pay $20-30 per month to buy legit copy of the apps in AppStore. But certain in-app charges are ridiculous. Such as $10 in Infuse 3 just to play DTS codec video?? These kinds of nonsense charges make me want to punch in the face. I know its illegal but i prefer to pay things that is worth the money.
Every time an app I purchase removes functionality, I restore the older version rather than blindly accepted the new limited functionality. I've 'reinstalled' about 6 or 8 apps by now.
Piracy is not condoned by the jailbreak community. Developers work very hard to put food on their tables. Don't steal food off their tables. They don't steal from your job.
I am against piracy and i do understand that no matter what reasons are, its still piracy. But i also care about where my money goes. If there was a "function" that is removed for being in-app charge add-on when its suppose to be there, i rather pirate it and give a middle finger to devs. Even if the app itself was free to download, im still supporting them just by downloading them. It raises them in download/popularity charts and give them more attentions towards other users. So they can ripoff more innocent users.
