Google has updated the Google Docs and Google Sheets apps with support for Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Google Docs Create, edit and collaborate with others on documents from your iPod, iPhone or iPad with the free Google Docs app.

You can also convert these documents to Word or PDF when you are done to put finishing touches/etc and to save to other computers. Use all of the google stuff for school projects, comes in handy.
