The general consensus among rumor mill has been a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 launching sometime in September, with the 5.5-inch model launching at a later date. Now, supply chain sources are claiming that the 5.5-inch model will indeed be delayed to due production issues, and is currently slated for a December launch.
The same sources also claim that Apple's iWatch will be launching alongside the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 in December. If the sources are correct, it looks like the 4.7-inch model will be the sole iPhone 6 sold starting in September.
We previously reported that the iWatch would not enter production until November. Apple was reportedly facing issues with the flexible AMOLED screen, a sapphire crystal cover, a much smaller form factor, and higher waterproof standards.
iOS 8 will launch alongside the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, and Yosemite will launch later, despite tight integration between the two.
The iPhone 6 will reportedly feature an A8 processor, NFC, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, an all new design, and more.
