Hey, i have iphone 3g 8g, and it is jailbreak. i have a tmobile account. i was doing this mms setting so i can send picture. the whole setting is right, and i have the picture sign on the left. but the only problem is that my can't send the message at the end? can you help me out with that. thank you and hope to hear from you soon
turn the phone off and leave off for 5 mins then turn it back on, it should work but the picture messeging pn the t-mobile takes a lil while to go trought just hand in there.
For smartphone internet to work use this under
Cellular Data
APN wap.voicestream.com
Username blank << please don't put blank under user name just leave it empty
password blank
MMS
APN: wap.voicestream.com
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
the rest just leave those blank then restart your device and it will work 100%
AT&T users: at&t does not offer MMS for any iphone right now so please don't ask.
hi, i have at&t as my carrier and i have jailbreak then unlock my iphone 3g using ultrasn0w and i do not see the camera button available on the messege at all. i have unlimited text and picture messeging so that shouldn't be a problem but i can't and i am unable to view that particular camera at all.
You have to go to settings> general> network > cellular data>and type in the mms settings then once your done retart your phone and the camera icon will be there
This is what workd for me . I called tmobile and they said that the iphone has to have the http:// if not it wont work i tried all the settings i could find and nothing worked until i found out this little issue. The settings that work for me and my wife and 15 others who i set up the MMS for are APN: wap.voicestream.com MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080 Let me know if it works for you . Ignore the last post i messed up the proxy and added 050 instead of 50
Worked like a charm! Thanks Joker. When recieving pics, they come in at very low res, but it still works. I've hear others are having this problem too. Just one little kink to work out I guess. But it's working. Thanks.

DOESN'T WORK! I've tried every setting for TMobile that I could find online INCLUDING THE ONES STRAIGHT FROM TMOBILE and it does not work. I recommend removing this from the website to stop getting peoples hopes up like mine!
why would i post something that didn't work for me? Maybe you aren't doing it right, maybe you should try some other settings, but after telling me to try it and remove the post, you are not going to get the other settings that i found man
The settings for tmobile are APN Name: wap.voicestream.com Proxy: 216.155.165.050 or .216.155.165.50:8080 MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc but under MMS Max Message Size put 1000 or you will not b able to receive messages or send large messages
Well the FCC is investigating exclusive contracts between cell phone companies and makers and may ban it. Also Verizon has a good chance of getting a iphone in 2010.
I've added the MMS settings, but the message still fails to send. Wierdly, when I enter in wap.voicestream.com and then leave the network settings menu, when I come back to it, the wap... is gone. Each time I enter it, it's gone when I return to that menu. When I enter internet2.voicestream.com, it remains there, but still no luck with sending.
straight from Tmobile's US website
(http://support.t-mobile.com/doc/tm21387.xml;jsessionid=AN-dygPFLY7xBv7Bis?)
here's the setting that works
APN Name: wap.voicestream.com
Proxy: 216.155.165.050
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
try this mine working
goto settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network. Scroll down to the MMS feild change APN to wap.voicestream.com username and password should be blank change MMSC to http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc change MMSProxy 216.155.165.50:8080 MMSMaxMessageSIze:blank or default MMSUAProFURL:blank or default after enter complete and now reboot .
I tried these settings and they saved but the message fails to send every time even with 5 bars. I have put them in at least 10 times to ensure typing is correct...
These are the settings that worked for me......
mms apn: epc.tmobile.com
mmsc: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy: 216.155.165.050:8080
cellular data settings apn: internet2.voicestream.com
REBOOT your iphone after entering settings and voila!!!!
hi .I have upgrade my iphone 3g to 3.0os and jailbroken with redsnow and it work fine.I know not unlocked yet but when check for MMS i donot see any option for send picture only text only? did not show camera?did i do any wrong during update the OS??
I don't really understand what you ment by that.i also have the same problems i have at&t as my carrier and i don't see the camera when i try to sent a messege.
You have to enable GPRS/EDGE and enable MMS (that should be done by your provider)... Then you have to configure MMS Settings right. I had them disabled, after I enabled EDGE & MMS I've restarted the phone and now I have the camera on SMS
Hi, just a note, if you run on o2 Ireland, there is no possibility send MMS outside of Ireland, only in nationally. I tried to send and i cant so i spoke with o2 agent and he said, unable only national MMS allowed.
Hi, I cannot see the camera icon on the SMS page when I use my T-Mobile SIM with my Factory unlocked iPhone 3G, when I put O2 or Turkcell SIM it shows the camera icon??????? :(((((
