Alleged iPhone 6 Sapphire Glass Front Panel vs. Arrow [Video]

Posted July 20, 2014 at 1:19am by iClarified
Check out this Unbox Therapy video of Joe Rogan shooting the alleged iPhone 6 sapphire glass front panel with an arrow.

Will the iPhone 6 feature an upgraded display? Will the iPhone 6 glass include sapphire in it's construction? Can the iPhone 6 glass deflect an arrow? Doubt it, let's try it anyway!

The alleged front panel has proved very strong; however, it may not be pure sapphire glass.

Take a look at the video below and please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for more iPhone 6 updates.

It isn't resistant to an atomic bomb? Why would I buy a phone that won't resist WWIII?

Not as much as it will to plastic. How about a black hole aka it's home where it crawled out of. Let's see it survive that.

It seems people have no clue on sapphire glass, it is pretty much scratch proof but will shatter. Hard and brittle.

Obviously they knew it was gonna shatter. That arrow travels almost as powerful as a bullet. They just wanted to see the outcome.

"Will the iPhone 6 feature an upgraded display? Will the iPhone 6 glass include sapphire in it's construction? Doubt it." Really? The article le says "sapphire" in the name and the it's supposed to handle the everyday kind of shatters it takes, how is that not an upgrade or sapphire.

I don't ever plan on shooting my phones with a weapon. The sand paper test was a little discerning although. I'd like to see how a pocket full of dirt, it might affect the screen.

Unless you have some high density dirt in your pocket as like the sand paper had, then you start to worry.
