Newly leaked photos claim to reveal a unique design for the battery of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6. The photos were reposted by NoWhereElse earlier today.
We first note that the thickest part of the battery takes roughly the elongated format models found in previous generations of iPhone. So thin and flexible extension can be folded, the other half I am unable to explain the usefulness if not gain a place in the case where it would serve as additional cell is itself unprecedented for a battery supposed to have been produced for the Apple account.
Yesterday, a photo of a battery allegedly for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 was posted online. That battery has the traditional design and a 1810 mAh capacity.
Unfortunately, we can't verify the authenticity of the photos; however, you can follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
It's going to very bad if the two iphones come out at different times. People will by the smaller one and then when the larger one comes out they're gonna be pissed off because it will be outside the period during which it could be returned and they can't trade in the smaller one. Worse will be if must have features like sapphire screens and 128 gig capacity are not available right off the bat.
That extra flap is most likely going to be folded up around the battery and sealed at te edges. This is not a finished part. They still need to attach the overcharge protection circuitry and cable so it makes sense to not seal the whole thing up yet at this stage of production
