Tim Cook Charity Auction Ends With $330,001 Bid to Benefit RFK Center

The charity auction that offered a lunch with Apple CEO Tim Cook has ended with a winning bid of $330,001.

Proceeds from the Charitybuzz auction are going to benefit the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights. In addition to the lunch, Cook also offered the winner the opportunity to attend an Apple event as his VIP guest.

Tim Cook is Apple's CEO and serves on its board of directors. In 2012 he was named a runner-up to TIME's Person of the Year and topped Vanity Fair's New Establishment list. Before being named CEO in August 2011, Tim was Apple's Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for all of the company’s worldwide sales and operations. He also headed Apple's Macintosh division. Tim earned an MBA from Duke University, where he was a Fuqua Scholar, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University.


The winner of the auction was only identified as A********H. Last years winner of coffee with Tim Cook paid $610,000 for the opportunity.

I'd be pissed if I was the guy that bid 330,000 and got outbid by a dollar at the last minute.
