Apple iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c Launch Drew Huge Lines in India [Video]

Despite the high cost for consumers in India, the Apple iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c launch huge lines at launch, notes Fortune.

The site located a YouTube clip showing the launch the of the devices in Delhi a few weeks ago.

If you are one of those who believed nobody on the subcontinent would shell out 50,000 rupees ($800) for the iPhone 5S or 40,000 rupees ($640) for the iPhone 5C, Gadgets To Use's attached video is not to be missed.

Notably, Reliance Communications announced earlier this month that it will offer subsidized iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c devices in India with a two year contract. The contract system is a rarity in India. Reliance had tried to offer contracts in 2003 but it was a big failure. This time, contracts will only be offered to those with a credit card.

Nobody in the subcontinent would shell out 50000 for an iphone? What do you think? Even before this contract has begun thousands of peoplein India owned an iphone by paying the full amount.

These queues would have been 10 times long if Vodafone and airtel would have offered the iPhone 5S and 5C on 2 years contract. Its possible in upcoming iPhone 6 launch next year.
