Apple CEO Tim Cook extended congratulations to President Trump on his election victory today in a post on X.
Cook wrote...
Congratulations President Trump on your victory! We look forward to engaging with you and your administration to help make sure the United States continues to lead with and be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.
While the final election results have yet to be tabulated, Trump is expected to defeat Vice-President Kamala Harris with 312 to 226 electoral votes, easily surpassing the 270 needed to win.
On the campaign trail in October, Trump disclosed that Apple CEO Tim Cook contacted him to discuss a $15 billion fine imposed on the company by the EU. Trump alleged told Cook, "I got to get elected first. But I'm not going to let them take advantage of our companies. That won't be happening."
In his last administration, Trump's tax reform significantly benefited Apple's earnings growth and shareholder capital returns. A second term could bring similar policies that further boost Apple's profitability and reward investors.
