These are instructions on how to setup and use iCloud Keychain on OS X Mavericks. iCloud Keychain keeps your Safari website usernames and passwords, credit card information, and Wi-Fi network information up to date across all of your approved devices that are using iOS 7.0.3 or later or OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later.
iCloud Keychain can also keep the accounts you use in Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Messages up to date across all of your Macs. If you're signed in to Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, or any other accounts in Internet Accounts on OS X Mavericks, iCloud can push those accounts to your Macs as well.
Step One Make sure you have installed OS X Mavericks on your desktop or notebook.
Step Two Select System Preferences from the Apple menu at the top left of your screen.
Step Three Choose iCloud from the System Preferences menu.
Step Four Make sure you are signed into your iCloud account and check the box next to Keychain from the list on the right.
Step Five You will be asked to enter your Apple ID password to set up iCloud Keychain. Do this and click OK.
Step Six Next, you'll be asked to create an iCloud Security Code. Enter a four-digit numeric security code and click Next.
Step Seven Re-enter your security code and click Next.
Step Eight You will be asked eto enter a phone number that can receive SMS messages. Choose your country and enter a number then click Done. This number will be used to verify your identity when using your iCloud Security Code. This can be your own number, or the number of someone you trust.
Step Nine iCloud Keychain setup is now complete.
Step Ten To use iCloud Keychain, launch Safari and navigate to site where you need to login. For example, https://www.iclarified.com/login.php. Once you've entered and submitted your credentials, Safari will prompt you to save the information in iCloud Keychain for AutoFill on all your devices.

What a shame that so many of the websites I visit (e.g., banks, other financial institutions, ) won't allow my passwords to be saved in keychain. I thought I had found a solution to the problem of always having to login and key in passwords, but it seems lots of organisations don't trust keychain to keep their customers' information secure, which renders keychain quite useless.
