With the idea of a budget iPhone increasing with leaks surfacing almost weekly now, some mockups were rendered to get a better picture of how a low-cost iPhone would look like.
Based off of the recent leaks, MacRumors has commissioned Ciccarese Design to come up with the following mock ups. The renders show a slightly thicker, taller and wider device (.9mm thicker than the iPhone 5). Physically, the devices look similar other than the volume buttons shifting away from rounded designs to a more pill shaped one.
What if the design of the iPhone 5 disappeared as we know today, and become something like this as the entry or cheaper model while the new iPhone (5s or 6) remain as the high end... Just like the Macbook (plastic) and Macbook Pro (Aluminum)... Thats sound as something that in fact could do...
no especifications about the hardware or the possible price?
i think it will be an iphone 4s with an body of iphone 5 but in cheaper materials... 250 euros/dollars probably...
I agree, this makes a lot of sense. When the 6 or 5S is released this will mean apple can sell it alongside the older 5, and the super cheap plastic version.
They can continue with all the same internals as the 4S but in the new casing with 4" screen.
Seems to fit very well.
