Viber 3.0 has been released for iOS bringing a slew of new features and support for the all new Viber Desktop application for Mac and Windows.

I've successfully installed, the viber desktop app however it wont proceed. It displays an error "An internet connection is required to activate your Viber account. Check your connection and try again." I do have an internet connection, when I'm trying to open it. How do i resolve this issue? Please advise. Thank you!

Hi, Viber for Desktop can only be activated with an access code that is sent to your Viber account on your mobile device. For this reason, it is highly unlikely that your number would be active on a computer that you did not set up. However, if you are concerned that a Viber for Desktop account has been opened using your phone number, you can deactivate Viber on your phone. This will deactivate Viber on all devices to which your account is registered. You should note that deactivation will delete your call and message history. Hi, Viber team! I just downloaded viber for my desktop machine- which is running on Linux. I installed a file viber.deb. Now when I enter my phone number it says that internet connection is required to activate my Viber account and I am pretty sure I am already connected to the Internet. Regards, Ognian Mikov

Hi, There is no option to send video files via Viber for Desktop. You can do this via Viber on your mobile device.

viber- 4.2.1= hi i am askary and my phone number is 9598353205 and i port this number idea to vodaphone now i take new iphone 4s but there is registration problem. I put my number correctly but responce is invalid number. This is my personal number you can check this by call or another source i have installed whatsapp,FB,Twitter and many other app and use perfeclty but viber is not register so please i request you to solve it immediatly for me this is important. Hi KT, The issue you are describing has been identified and addressed by Windows as a bug in their operating system. Windows offers a solution at the following link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2801679 Please be advised that this fix is provided by Windows and they are solely responsible for any consequences of implementing it. *It is recommended that you create a backup for your registry and/or create a system restore point before running any fix.* If you need assistance with this, please contact Microsoft support. We hope that this resolves your issue.

Many thanks, it works now! After I use the "fix it" part from Microsoft, I could see my photos and videos once again, however, for my contact pictures I had to deactive/active my viber on my phone and my desktop 2 times. But finally it solved. Thanks viber for your help :)
