How to Untether Your Tethered iOS 6.x Jailbreak Using Evasi0n

These are instructions on how to untether your jailbreak for those who previously had a tethered jailbreak of iOS 6.x for their iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, or iPod Touch 4G.

Step One
Launch Cydia from your SpringBoard.

How to Untether Your Tethered iOS 6.x Jailbreak Using Evasi0n

Step Two
Press to select the Sections tab at the bottom of the screen.

Step Three
Tap to choose System from the list of sections.

Step Four
Choose evasi0n 6.x Untether from the list of packages.

Step Five
Tap the Install button at the top right of the screen.

Step Six
Press Continue to begin installation of the package.

Step Seven
Once evasi0n has been installed successfully, press the large Return to Cydia button.

You will now retain your jailbreak through a reboot without the need to connect to Redsn0w and boot tethered.

Does this work on iphone 4 (3,1 GSM), on 6.1.3?

Not for that firmware. It only works on firmware just 6.0.x - 6.1.2

i am using iphone 4...i have successfully downgrade from 6.1.3 to 6.1.2 using iFaith...tethered evasion..after upgrading the evasion tether from cydia and power off iphone..my iphone goes to the balck screen..(soft dfu mode)..still no untether..any suggestion?

No, you still have to be careful to preserve your baseband. You need to use redsn0w to update your iPhone

Yes it's safe for sure I have a Verizon iPhone 5
