Five people in southern China have been charged with intentional injury after a teen sold his kidney so he could buy an iPhone and an iPad, according to a Xinhua News report relayed by Reuters.
The five included a surgeon who removed a kidney from a 17-year-old boy in April last year. The boy, identified only by his surname Wang, now suffers from renal deficiency, Xinhua quoted prosecutors in Chenzhou city, Hunan province as saying. According to the Xinhua account, one of the defendants received about 220,000 yuan (about $35,000) to arrange the transplant. He paid Wang 22,000 yuan and split the rest with the surgeon, the three other defendants and other medical staff.
We first posted on this story in June of last year. The hospital reportedly didn't have the proper facilities to perform such surgery, which lasts about three hours, leading to the deteriorating health of the boy.
I'm not surprised by this. His device can replace the organ he sold. Just purchase an application, namely iKidney and use it :P
I also wanna sell my ass, i can poop using iPoop and fart using iFart. No Offfense. I love apple products. I have an iPhone 4S. Cheers!! :)
Totally insane.. I don't know exactly what the hell are they drooling about iPhones or iPads or whatever apple product there is.. I know its great.. I have one an iPhone.. But if I am in there shoes? I'd rather have the black and white dot matrix phone.. Than get sick and die.. Just to be IN..
I find it sad, that some people have to turn to such drastic measures... Some of the comments are uncalled for, it's a sad world when we start putting emphasis on materialistic stuff instead of the wellbeing of humanity. Nobody seams to have a moral compass anymore. It feels like we are all sheep, with a voice that nobody wants to listen to no matter how hard we scream, only when there is money to be made...

No, but that must be because no one wants to sell his kidney in exchange of a device with an interface less polished than iOS's. Why iOS > Android? Because if you want a "good" android device you have to pay way more than for the cheapest iOS device, and even then you have an ultra expensive device that almost noone develops for to take advantage of the hardware.
