Apple has just issued a statement on the Carrier IQ debacle saying that although it used Carrier IQ in the past, it recently stopped supporting it and will completely remove it in the future, according to AllThingsD.

We never recorded keystrokes, messages or any other personal information for diagnostic data and have no plans to ever do so."
