China Mobile Hopes to Collaborate With Apple on TD-LTE iPhone

China Mobile hopes to collaborate with Apple on a TD-LTE iPhone for its network, reports Bloomberg.

In an interview today Chairman Wang Jianzhou said, "China Mobile and Apple hope to find a solution for close collaboration. We discussed this issue with Apple. We hope Apple will produce a new iPhone with TD-LTE. We have already got a positive answer from Apple."

This statement seems to contradict a previous statement by the company that it had already reached an agreement with Apple.


China Mobile reportedly wants the iPhone to keep its lead over China Unicom which is the only carrier that officially offers the device in China.
