MacRumors has commissioned CiccareseDesign to create high quality renderings of the iPhone 5 based on leaked case designs. Interestingly, at the time these design specifications were posted MacRumors said they "received a reliable tip that this is not what the iPhone 5 will look like."
The final dimensions of the new design are calculated to be: 4.33" x 2.36" and .27" thickness at the top and .21" at the bottom In comparison, the iPhone 4 dimensions are: 4.5" x 2.31" x .37". So the new design is actually shorter than the existing iPhone 4, but slightly wider and thinner.
What is this!? who cares about being the slimmest phone on market? add 1-2 mm and double or triple the battery live will make this the best phone ever. with all those utility apps out there starting looking for ur iphone if it got stolen or lost, gps when u got lost in forest, fleshlight(i mean flashlight not fleshlight), or police apps if u get kidnapped or looking for kids etc, it will be useless if the phone dies from 100%-0% in 24 hrs or should i say less than 8hr of usage.
Wow its kinda better than those past iP5 designs tho.. But in my own personal opinion?! I hope that home button is completely gone.. Makin it look like more futuristic design.. Like evrything is in censor.
It looks alright. I don't like the gigantic home button. I'm usually first on line for the new iphone but I'm so happy with the iphone 4 that I don't know if there are any features they can add that will force me to upgrade hardware this time around.
This phone looks beautiful & i will one when it comes out even if it kills me. I Love my iPhone 4 (and iPad 2, iPod Shuffle, iPod Classic & iPod Touch) & it still goes toe to toe with ANY phone released now even though its more than a year old. I think the iPhone 5 is gonna be EPIC.
I actually think this design is great - perfect, no - but the technician rendering this beauty did a great job. If the next iPhone looks like this, I may consider upgrading from a 3GS.
