Some inventions are really point less... It cost 190 which is at least 1/2 price of beginner DSLR body ... Who would carry expensive huge lenses without carrying a sensor that merits that can capture the quality of light it gives.... If you buy it ... It is because you have iPhone obsession

Oh god please... now not only those kids that have a DSLR think that they are photographers, now all of those kids who have an iPhone think that they are photographers... This is really killing the art of photography.. how can an iPhone be better than having a Nikon or Canon or any other brand DSLR. They cost money for a meaning. How can you shoot let's say 7 fps with an iphone?????

let's be honest here for a second.. nobody here said this will replace the funcionality of a DSLR , it will be stupid to think someone wants to shoot 7fps with an iphone.. This gadget is for only 1 type of person: "the one who owns aniPhone and 1 DSLR camera with a few set of lenses".... Period. if you have the right illumination, the iphone could do the job just fine with aN EFS lens, specially if you are into DSLR Video, a 2nd angle camera using a phone with your current lenses will save you some serious time. For you al "photographers" out there, please grow up and admit technology brings changes and we have to embrace them, or will be left out in a blink.. I'm a professional photographer and videographer with 15 years of experience, and I have used both analog and digital equipment, and I have to admit that I even thought Digital photography was never going to be able to beat film, and here I am. grow up!.

Hey calm down dude! I was just saying that to me it seems stupid to use expensive lenses with an iphone. I mean if I have 190 dollars to spend on this thing I wouldn't. I would throw in some extra money and buy another DSLR body. I don't need to spend thousands of dollar to buy a good DSLR. Plus, it's true that it's not the camera that makes a good photographer, but it seems pointless to use an iphone when I can get another DSLR. Plus to me it seems a little easier to use. Anyway dude you've got to calm down! if you have a problem with people not having your same point of view, then don't read the internet. peace!

I like the possibilities & the thought behind this idea but practicality says it wont be used any more than my bulky DSLR camera. If I leave the camera at home b/c it's bulky, why would I be any more willing to lug around my lenses?

No... this means "save youself some bucks" , don't buy an extra camera and use your extra lenses with your current iPhone. sometimes you need to have 2 cameras to avoid changing lenses over and over on a photo session, it makes a lot of sense.

@JC, If you're on a photo session, you may have that second camera, but it's usually somewhat of a match with your primary. So you may have a 5D MKII and a 5D or 7D, but you're not going to want to take advanced shots with a DSLR (adjusting ISO, shutter speed, aperture, etc...) along with rapid shooting, flash triggering, etc... and then switch up to the iPhone with an attached lens. Look at the pictures on their site. When the example photos are crappy, that should tell you something. The attachment is huge. If it wasn't so big (and expensive), it might be worth having in case the only DSLR you had broke down. But you can get pocket cameras with better quality (along with decent zoom, aperture, shutter, ISO controls) that cost less and are about the same size. Another use-case would be to use your iPhone to upload pictures, but that's already taken care of with the Eye-Fi card and iPhone app. For DSLRs with CF slots only, there's a SD/CF adapter that works with the Eye-Fi card. If this was a lot less expensive I might consider getting one. At <$100 it might be a fun novelty.
